EADD Bitcoins 2

hahaha so they are. £100 or 20% in the last day or two.

Good.

Haha, friend of mine just told me he's thinking of investing in them. Nice to see he does his homework. I responded with a fairly neutral 'they're too unstable for me to consider investing ' but I did sort of want to remind him of all the horrific decisions he's made in the past, guy is a magnet for pyramid schemes and other scams, having once bought a Nintendo DS case off ebay in the misguided belief it was the actual console. It wasn't one of those 'sell a photo of a console for £400 through the power of careful wording' jobs, the seller was very up front about the fact that it was a case.

edit: god now I feel guilty and like I should maybe try deter him more directly

I have seen it swing from like £280 to £450 today so I wouldn't write it off completely, the past 2 times though when it has hit a low and plummeted and then risen to all new highs (twice now) I have said fuck wish I had bought them then. I haven't really got enough to invest to make it matter really so there is no point, but there is hope for those with coins!

But buying at such a high price there was always going to be trouble. I am sure litecoin has pretty much halved in value in a day.

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to have a couple of coins bought at a relative low just in case they have a massive upswing, but it's not something I'd invest in seriously expecting a return or throw my life savings at like some people have apparently done. Would be, to me, more like a really geeky slightly more expensive lottery ticket I guess.

It's all dictated by external factors. China has a population of 1 billion people, if their government somewhat prohibits bitcoins it's going to affect the market for the worse. No "swing back up" like last time. There is still potential for bitcoins, but it may take them time if they are - at all - to reach great heights in value.

After reporting the sale of a Tesla acquired using Bitcoins, we received a lot of calls from prospective buyers. We are happy to confirm a 2nd transaction of the same kind this week for a 2014 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Coupe. With the help of a 3rd party specializing in converting the 216.8 Bitcoins into US Dollars, we were able to complete the transaction within 72 hours. According to the media attention we've been receiving, this could be the start of something big.

72 hours? I wonder when the transaction was started, :sus: Could be the start of some easy money laundering also, not that it already wasnt.

Seem to be rising, but this is probably everyone ordering their new years eve druggage.

I'm panicking over a drop in January. I need to sell mine at £550 to break even. Bought waaaay too many than I should have gambled with.

Hold onto it but look up news on it daily

If good, hold.. If bad.. Sell.

Wait what!? You bought a bitcoin for £550??

Now get over to the theo thread and answer my post already.

I've spent money on them as they went from 470 to 700... averaging at 550.

Wish I cashed in when they were going for 800, but I wasn't to know about the Chinese governments restrictions. Very concerned now. Just want to break even and not lose out really.

No I'm still over tired and run down. I tried too but just looked at the page blankly for 5 minutes. I'm brain dead. Suitable only for the gibbering thread right now. maybe the Lounge.

Check the litecoin recent trade volume, chinas starting to trade heavily in it. I've got a fair few i bought a while ago, forgot about them actually! Might be a fairly good time to invest

Raas how many btc did you buy? Cash them out now and do small trades- buy when the price dips, and sell when it bounces back up, only about £50 profit per coin but a fairly stable and sound investment, you'd make your money back in no time. Or cut your losses, depends on how much you invested/how many you have

All this talk of buying bitcoin for drugs! Are there even any sites left to buy from at this rate? Silkroad and its version 2 gone, BMR gone, sheep gone

Am I missing something here?

^ Eh? SR V2 is up n running strongly and in good community spirit.

There's at least 2 others (off the top of my head) that are doing pretty well for themselves also.

Silk rd gives access to stuff that certain folk just shouldn't have access to imo for there own health & others .

You get connects by building respect & being reliable etc maybe i is just an old hippie style druggy ?

Raas, why d'ya trust Silk Road v2?

I'm dubious with all of them, tbh

However, it's worth noting Silk Road 2 has hundreds of sales being processed successfully every day. As the sale's count rises and rises, on the chance the site does get raided / or is in LE control, chances of your address being selected and house being raided at 5am become slimmer every day. There's not enough tax money in the world to fund a raid of every single sale.

Defcon (seemingly new admin) seems pretty keen to get everyone's money back that was lost in escrow and happily encourages FE's (Finalise early, this protects sellers and buyers if the site were to be a scam)

If you're really scared, buy a cheap laptop with cash and connect it to a free WiFi hotspot and mix around your coins in bitfog. If you're strict with security, I think both vendors and buyers can be relatively safe with the site.

Youre dubious but you still use em.

I'm not really scared, I guess I can just get what I need from here without the palarva of their. And risking my name and address being floated around as a customer isn't really a smart move atm

No I don't use any of them. I only use bitcoins for investment purposes. Don't like the idea of my name and address being found on an excel file of a raided vendor. It's a risk I don't want to take when I don't really want/need drugs atm.
