Evening guys and girls...can someone give me some feedback on diclazepam? I have read odds and sods and in general I'm hearing not so good :\
Just wanted to know the current mood and from people I trust.
And please, I don't want the whole "why don't you just buy a proper benzo?!"

New drugs interest me! Get over it! :D

I've got another question though - so I'm currently getting off alprazolam, I have a pretty massive tolerance so I'd usually take at least 6mg at a time (up to 10) but didn't use particularly regularly. Turns out that was more than enough to go into full-blown WDs when quitting CT so I went back to my GP and I'm now on 0.5mg a day, to be brought down to 0.25mg after a month...but obviously this isn't working great as 1) alprazolam is absolute shit for tapering and 2) dropping from 6 to 0.5 isn't that helpful when it comes to reducing WDs. I've got an appointment with another doctor next monday (my GP's in France and I'm gonna be seeing one in the UK now so it's kinduv a pain) to ask to switch to diazepam as I think that'd be considerably better for tapering and I just wanted to ask - is there any chance I'd get a script if I ask to be put on a higher dose to start out the taper? I'd bring my alpraz prescription and stuff to show it's legit, and I figure I won't sound like a drug seeker because if I wanted benzos to get high, why the fuck would I switch from alpraz to diaz...but would still like to check if asking for a higher dosage is likely to just get me kicked out of the office.

So I was back on the benzos heavily for a week to come off the gear. I didn't think this would cause WDs to come back but it did. I've been off them 2 weeks now and still have the sweats and stomach issues. I should have learned from previous binges and done a fast taper.

I am considering going on 5-10mg diazepam a day for maintenance for a few months and then tapering slowly off. Benzos really help my mindset and outlook, and I feel like I need something right now as I've been struggling with the H.

My goal is to be "clean and sober", and I am nearly there, but i also need to be functional which I am not. I am anxious to go for a job interview, my sleep is fucked up although coming back to me, my physical symptoms cause me distress, I have little energy or motivation and my outlook is bleak.

So I am considering buying the Valium tomorrow. My reservations are that my tolerance will increase meaning that the same dose I started on will not hold me 3 months later, causing WD effects even though I am still taking the medication. Also that I will be digging myself into a hole that will be hard to climb out of.

I have no experience using benzos therapeutically. Could anyone shed some light? I have used them on and off for a few years and my only problems have been when dosing high for extended periods of time - like 6mg Xanax/day for 6 weeks, WDs for 2 months.

I would consider using lyrica but can't get a doctor to prescribe it. Since getting off methadone I have been on Xanax, WDing from Xanax, miserable sober, relapsing on H, WDing from H and using benzos to mask that, on Lyrica for benzo WD, semi stable on lyrica, miserable sober, relapsing on H, coming off H, a week on benzos and here I find myself again WDing from benzos.

I feel good on H but I can't function properly or sustain so that option is out. As is methadone for similar reasons. It is very important that I am able to work, and also able to have fun, that seems like an alien concept to me now.
 
Tryptamite, I would cold turkey or taper mate, you did really well getting off the gear and using benzos is perfectly acceptable, I did the same on my last kick and ended up having to deal with the shite from them on top the subutex withdrawals.

Are you in work? I know you mentioned a job interview...do you have time to do a CT or taper?

Do you smoke weed? If possible do a CT, sure it will be horrible but it will give you more strength and knowledge eventually. You can do a kick with a lot of weed. It all comes down to how much time you have, but by the sounds of things you need to be available for work! Fuck...do a rapid taper with the diaz...and exercise and eat well, avoid booze....dunno buddy, what do you reckon?

It's not that I can't handle these WDs, sure I'm tired of feeling ill, but I'm wondering is it worth it. Like after the WDs end, I'll still be feeling anxious and miserable and probably end up taking something anyway.

I'm sure this must sound exactly like rationalising drug use

I do smoke weed back roll but I had some on Saturday then sat on a bus for 2 hours and felt really uncomfortable, like borderline panic attack. In this mindset weed doesn't agree with me
 
Weed fucked me up when I was younger mate, sever anxiety/ paranoid skitso to the max, I feel you there !

Yeah, it does kinda. But at least you recognise that. :)

And it's far better to take things at a snail's pace than not deal with your issues at all.

tbh there ain't nuffink really wank worthy in that photo , I'd rather have 2 bottles of Teamzepam elixir than all of that , honestly .

I would like the buprenorphine, the nitrazepam and the midazolam. I would say the Ritalin too but I've had that packaging before and they were rubbish.

Dan man that sounds like a vicious cycle. Be no harm to try another doctor if your current doc isn't giving you what u need.
There's a good chance I'll be headin up to Dub on Sat if you wanna meet up for a pint?
(I could ask my girlfriend for a few lyrica for ye if you're stuck.)
 
if i had to pick 3 it would be the 100 ativan cos they is 2mg ones , the moggies even though i get Liquid Moggy & probably the Midazolam although they aren't oh i dunno :)

The best thing is the 100 2mg Ativan imo .
 
^ Yeah Brimz, agreed with the Ativan. Such a wobbely benzo. Great craic! :)

My other 2 choices would have to be the Mogadon & the (what appears to be) 2mg xanax bars sitting on top of the Ritalin & Tramadol boxes.

If i am in Dublin myself on Saturday id love to meet up with u for a pint. ill pm you my number as i have an old one for u, and we can keep in touch about it. ive been building a relationship with this doc for a while now, hopefully i will be able to get a lyrica script off him in future. if not ill try a different doctor.

im back on the benzos. Stupidly bought 20 roche 5s which i later discovered were counterfeit. im not taking them. who knows whats in them. I had to buy another 20 proper D5s which is what i should have done in the first place.

I though 5mg diazepam would hold me. but i took 15mg yesterday, a zimo and a few drops of clonazepam liquid and still felt off and slept badly. Does it take time for the body to get back to normal after you reintroduce it to benzos? Because i could still feel them, in fact i was stoned but some of the WD effects persisted like stomach and sweating and sleeplessness.

I had hoped 10-15mg would sort me out and im not comfortable taking more than that.

i was only back on the benzos for a week, maybe 50mg diazepam a day with a few zopiclone on top. but i was almost 2 weeks off them completely so tolerance should have dropped, if it even got that high in the first place after a week of those doses.

any thoughts?

Well when i went CT for 5 days off valium, id honestly say it was a 2 week ordeal because even when i was on 15 mg taper it took my body a while to go back to normal sleep wise and mental wise. Like someone said to me in the other thread my Gaba system was messed up it just takes time. So it will be the same with you bud your brain just needs to adapt

thats good news buddy. fuck taking stupid amounts of benzos that wont fix the problem 100% anyway. i might get a few zispin to sleep in this time until my gaba gets back to normal. i dont think there is many antihistamine first generation drowsy ones available OTC here.

I have seen people take small amounts and be wasted / seen people take high doses and be fully functioning. If you have no idea how you react do not take them when you need to function outside - if your going to do it anyway, take two . Wait and then up in half a pill until you reach your desired level of chilled outs bliss.

(Tbh I don't know anyone who has taken 5mgs of valium and been that far out of it that they cannot function normally - yeah they may feel like they have had a glass of wine but nowhere near budgie murdering state). If your mixing with alcohol then be careful :D

nice one, i took 3 the other day and that was nice enough. they are a little moreish and make me feel very hungry
