EADD Benzo Discussion v. Finally remembered to start a new thread.

How have you been since quitting your benzo dependancy? If you don't mind me asking, has there been any lingering negative effects at all, or did you manage to control your taper well enough to minimise any negative effects of benzo w/d?
 
The Norflurazepam were nice and I ended up falling asleep on them after watching a film. When I was wide awake again by midnight I decided to give my other latest treat a whirl to get back to sleep - 50 10mg Flubromazepams - the highest dosed f-pam pellets ive come across yet. Put the Excorcist on and had 3 - i was rubbered within 45 minutes and managed to sleep for over 4 more hours, waking about 20 minutes or so ago at about 5.15. Still feel nicley benzed from the f-pam - Im always wary when I come across a benzo in a new strength but these fucks are spot on.

Anyone had tubs of Watson pharmacy Valium? The fakes?

The pills themselves look totally legit but there's a fucking spelling mistake on the label, it says 'adn' instead of 'and'.

And the pills don't do anything, totally inactive.

How's your taper going? I read that you ended up giving in to temptation of the sales but try not to be hard on yourself over this. You've done amazing n this is your addict trying to mess with you n get you back in the grip of your addiction. I won't suggest flush it but keep going as you have been going

Have you relapsed or just bought the stuff? If you haven't used them then maybe tell yourself n give yourself a date of using them - it's a trick a few are using in an old recovery group. Instead of saying "they're never going to drink again which instantly brings up their addict----fighting for dear life to save the addiction---it somehow tricks the mind into thinking "ok I'll not use until (a date 50 years from now) n quiets the addict. It may work for you it may not as everyone is different but worth a try.

If you have had them well what's done is done, MDB. There are no regrets only experiences that can be turned into opportunities to somehow do good. Now, what have you learnt from the relapse? Why did you relapse? How can you prevent it happenimg again?

MDB - you're extremely intelligent n a member I look up to, think highly of your advice n so often come to you. So consider looking at this situation as this is not YOU going through this benzo taper---but a friend in cneed; coming to you to seek out advise what would you tell them? Another way is how would you relate to your addiction if it was a job application? Bare with me a mo please. What I mean is by writing down similar questions n answering them honestly, constructively n rationally. What would you want to see yourself doing in five years time that benzos could possibly prevent from happening? Do you have a dream? A purpose? Would you like a senior role in a compamy? Like to travel? Date? Get married. Now what do you want currently in your life that your benzo addiction is preventing, causing issues etc? For instance feeling safer in your job role? Oversleeping less? Most importantly why do you want off the benzos?is it purely because of the ban or was this a wish before that you felt couldn't possibly happen? / kept putting it off?

These are just suggestions xxxxx

This lack of clonazolam availability really is a pain in the arse. I ended up having to order some diclazepam and they just don't feel anywhere near as nice. They're not terrible but just don't have the warmth of clonazolam or the nice sedation. I also know they're probably going to end up making me feel groggy tomorrow. I've only ordered them once before and didn't like them too much.

What sort of dose do you people normally go for if you're aiming for sedative effects? It's probably such a high dose that I won't be able to go to work tomorrow :\

EDIT: Scratch that. I doubled the dose and, within an hour, I'm fairy sedated and spangled.

That TRS-sub is infamous for slowing metabolism and thus perceived effect but dayuuumm does it hit hard later on.
C-Lam is IMO the pinnacle of RC BZD's, 250ug is active in naive individuals, 500-750ug is a decent dose with some experience, 1,500ug+ floors Bull Elephants.
 
Damn, good thing I'm in charge today at work. I took 5mg overall last night and my feet are a tad wobbly this morning. I can't say anything about my speech being slurred because that's always one thing I'm always oblivious of. I will hope.

Shouldn't be too bad that I'll accidentally step off the moving bus again :|

Clonazolam, like Sprout, I find it the superior of the family..

I tried F-pam t'other day. Being a jobless dosser I have all the time in the world to flop around. Just can't stand the length, gets on my nerves after a while. I cant think of an RC -Pam that I particularly like, mebbe diclaz I guess.

Give me a bat to the head with a short action any day. Methylated triazole ftw ;)
 
Try Norflurazpam Scotch - similar duration to diclazepam but much more pleasant : subjectively it feels like a perfect blend of diazepam and nitrazepam and appears to be about twice as potent by weight (5mg Norflurazpeam to 10mg Diazepam). Too many triazolo's or overuse of my beloved flubromazepam (i.e. more than once a week) will lead to tolerance skyrocketing. Im the last person to preach about overusing these drugs but at a minimum I try to rotate my use around the benzodiazepines I have access to. I only have 40 1mg Clonazolam pellets left so they're my personal bag of gold dust.

My brain needs a new dawn - lots of things changing now my methadone is dropping significantly, so no benzos for the next fortnight unless I have a panic attack that I cannot control (standard emergency kit - 20 mgs Norflurazepam and 6mgs diclazepam that will come everywhere with me, as the Nor-pam acts quickly and the diclaz fades slowly, reducing the risk of rebound anxiety and the need to re - dose. Sometimes, the very fact that I have them on me are enough to help me control my anxiety without the need to actually take them).

Once Im satisfied my brains had break Im straight out dancing while I have the opportunity to. I need it in my life, and I hope you have spotted the Andromeda event Pandemonium are promoting at the Digbeth Institute ;) \o/
 
I've gone from zero benzo stock, to having them falling out of places. All kinds, f-pam...not for me at all.

Ah, benzos! Friday night I was rocking Flubromazepam + Alcohol, but the Flubromazepam was a bit too subtle. Decided to eyeball a redose. 1~2 Hours later I was asleep. Slept for 24 hours.
 
The longer I've been an abuser, the more responsible I abuse. Unlike the average abuser, as I see it at least, who develops a "Fuck it, I'm destroying myself already anyway." mentality.
 
Man...my memory is fucked from a few years of using benzos.
And even since i've stopped using them, my memory isn't anywhere near what it used to be.
I wonder if anyone here has quit benzos, and found it took a while for the memory to recover? Because this is taking a while, which freaks me out, as i'm about to do an expensive course for work. Blah.

Thoughts? I'm thinking down the racetam end of things perhaps?
Or will it take time?
Or do i have dementia and fucked for life?

As Scotch sez, it will sort itself out in time. My memory has recently started to improve by leaps and bounds nearly a year after sacking opiates and benzos, though the improvement might have happened a lot sooner if I didn't still drink so fuckin much.

Looking back, I'm actually horrified at how much downers affected me mentally - especially RC benzos. So hang in there mate, you'll return to your former self eventually (unless you have actually got dementia - then you're fucked ;) )
