is it true to say that if a sample was to turn purple / black in the marquis test then it should not fail the rodadope tests ?

because if the sample had elements of anything other than mda or mdma then the marquis test should not go purple / black but should give an idication colour change, is this also true ?

do you mean to say that pure mdma never reacts with robadope? Yes, that is correct.
When there is something else present in your pill besides mdxx, let's say speed,
chances are that the speed reaction will be masked by the darker mdxx reaction. This shall, however give a reaction with robadope
