E documentaries generally don't mention the crash...?

I've watched several documentaries about MDMA and the years (1975-mid 1985) when it was legal and wide varieties of people used it in therapy. While "Ecstasy Rising", for example, showed an interview of a lady saying she had only consumed it once, they generally don't mention the crash from e. Any reasons as to why this is? Maybe its just me, I'm pretty stoned so I might be totally wrong about this but I just wondered...

There is no crash with mdma. In fact the next day you feel like "a citizen of the universe" and you will still feel good for about a week after. I can still feel the euphoria washing over me when I'm listening to good music for a few days. Good luck finding pure mdma though.

hmmm that really depends on the person surely, everyone reacts differently and while some people may feel nothing but a marvellous afterglow some do have a crash (or a heavy need to re dose, lol)

I've had horrible crashes from pure MDMA. Granted. I was taking alot and i was taking it far too often. I still think people that don't abuse could still feel a crash depending on that person, set and setting around the time.

ive never had a bad comedown, unless it was cut with something else, or like said above, takin a whole lot or for way too long, etc. i think some people just react differently. i dont really come down hard off anything, guess it varies with diff. people tho

As far as I know the most part of a comedown is usually related to Speed etc. being cut in the pill?
I've seen people have pretty bad comedowns on some pills and no comedown at all on others.

If it's pure, and you don't take too much, and it's been long enough since you haven't taken any, you don't crash. Simple.

In other words, it was never a problem for therapy patients in the early 80's.

I find that coming down from pure MDMA is insignificant compared to speed. I would imagine that even caffeine in a pill can contribute to a worse comedown, especially if you are very sensitive to it. Also, using it as a stimulant to dance all night may also be more stressful to the body compared to using it in a quiet therapeutic environment.

There normally too busy telling us about 'holes in the brain' to worry about something as trivial as a comedown :D

The comedown from MDMA should be smooth - you may experience a bit of a shitty mood in a few days but you shouldnt really crash.

my third time rolling was this saturday and i think i experienced my first come down. i spaced my rolls out by about a month each. this time i took 2 molly caps and rolled fucking face, harder than i ever have in my life. the only real comedown i seem to be having is i wish i could go back to the show and continue to rage and feel amazing. i'm hoping it will dull soon enough since rolling at that rave seems to be the only thing i can think about now haha.

Agree with all of the above who say it's usually a function over doing it. Go easy on your first time and you're not likely to have a problem. In fact you'll probably feel pretty good just reminiscing on the experience.
Good luck and have fun!

I have noticed this too! Every documentary i have seen seems to skip out on the comedown part. There is a movie called "Rolling" that even portrays overdosing, but skips out on the comedown aspect. Weird because anyone i have ever spoken to has told me that after they roll they feel like hell and that the happiness has been sucked right out of them. I have experienced some pretty bad comedowns b4. I find that it leaves me pretty depressed for about 2 weeks not being able to produce my own seratonin and all..

Maybe it depends on the person, but I used MDMA perhaps 10 times before I ever had any kind of a come down. What happened for me those first 10 times that probably spanned about 2 years was that I felt amazing for several days after using E - like I was floating on clouds and everything was right with the world.

exactly, some people have stronger immune systems and brains i guess lol cause ive done terrible things, abused really badly a long time ago and i've always liked the comedown, in a weird kinda way, still feelin it a bit, but gettin spaced out a little. i dont know, im strange. guess some people just cant handle it / are affected in a different way

^ actually the crash is caused from serotonin depletion. the more you take and the more often you do it the more likely you are to crash and the worse it will be.. but yea, do enough mdma and youll want to fuckin die in the next few days.

it has everything to do with neurochemistry and absolutely nothing to do with people not being able to "handle it" or having stronger immune systems lol.

wrong, if you take a high dose of mdma you will have a hangover. period. try taking .2-.5 grams of molly at once. tell me you don't have a hangover after.

ive taken a lot more than that in one night, and abused plenty of times, im just saying, some people handle it better than others, i dont consider it a hangover unless i feel like shit, and i never do, maybe you do, no need to act like everything you say is written in stone somewhere, just making a point that a lot of ppl can take it and do just fine, while others, simply cant. and i know its all in the brain, but maybe some people just get over it. doesnt bother me

I've done half a gram of crystal MDMA before and felt little or no ill-effects afterward. Felt a tad moody about three days after, but nothing to write home about. I think it depends on the person. My average dose is a quarter gram these days, having built up a tolerance, but I still don't really crash or burn out midweek. I have come to the conclusion that I may have quite a high baseline in terms of serotonin levels, because I'm always very cheerful and happy, so maybe I don't deplete as bad as other people? I don't know, this is totally layman theorising, feel free to debunk.

But like I say, it definitely depends on the person. On the flipside of that I've seen under .2g give friends murderous comedown blues, nausea, all sorts. Swings and roundabouts I guess.
