E-cigarette, quitting success stories.

You just made my day.

Well, the odds are you'll get to live a long life because you quit. That's the most positive thing to get to look forward to.

However, I had two grandparents who both quit smoking cigarettes, and they both died - of the same cancer.

I guess not everyone is lucky to have the foresight to quit smoking when they're still young.

I had skyrl brand and although i did go without cigarettes for a few days, the batteries broke quickly, got new ones, they broke and the cartraiges seemed to provide very few hits at which point i asked and obtained a refund (one other battery broke too). I want to hear success stories because i might consider buying a different brand.

Not to go off topic but can anyone help me with the dangers of "stonewall" tobacco mints? it is tarless snuff, but works better than nicotine gum or mins that they sell at the pharmacy for cravings...how much is the mouth cancer factor reduced to to the lack of tar and not having to spit anything out?.....

E-cigs -best scam of 2009 (they make sure to label that it is not a smoking cessation tool)

I dunno what an e-cigarette is, are you referring to the little pouches camel is selling that you can put in like dip and it's in a pouch and you don't need to spit, and it's suppost to last 30 mins?

it's reduced by alot. tho there are still some health problems from using nicotine(high blood pressure, elevated heart rate, ect.)
i've yet to try the electric cigarette to quit but i've done a nicotrol inhaler and it fucking sucked.

Sorry guys but im not into chewing tobacco :D
**has mental image of taking a big bite of a cigarette **

The e-cigarette- i have decided to just try it, i mean, why not? My cigarettes are $14.00 AUD, an e-cig will cost about $100-200. might seem like a fair bit of cash, but ive spent way more than that on cigarettes so far!

The only reason why an E cigarette might help you quit is because the tobacco taste different than what you are use to. You can get the same affect by switching to a cigar!

The only thing you are paying for is a $200 vaporizer that is portable....which I guess is kind of cool, but is that what you are really after?

If you want a cigarette REPLACEMENT, try Nirdosh cigarettes. They are nicotine free cigarettes, and they actually have calming affects (mainly from the eucalyptus). They won't set you back $200 either.

^^^^ Kind of. i read that it's not 'smoke".. its a non toxic vapour that emits from the e-cig to give smokers the realistic 'feel' of smoking..
It can barely be smelled apparently.

- thanks for the tip it sounds interesting. any ideas where to find these?

That would be snus. IMO it doesn't provide enough nicotine for the average smoker. I occasionally will pack a lip of skoal or something at work which works great. Snus tastes good but doesn't do shit. Idk maybe I could've done more but, IMO it sucks.

i don't think we are allowed to source here. but seriously, try using a search engine, should be VERY easy to find.
