E-Book Readers fan club!

I am about to get one of these e-book readers any day. in the mail. I am so excited and can't wait. It's a touch screen and has tons of memory. Any day now. I am running out of books to read. Got it as an early b-day present from my SO.

Yeeeeeeeah.

cleaned out my piggy bank and bought a motherfriccckling kindle!!

I now have no money for books so trying to download some of the public domain ones.

anyone recommened good sites for that? so far i'm using project gutenberg.

also any good public domain books anyone could suggest?

^Thanks for this info.

I love this little device so much.

I had tons of ebooks on my laptop and reading them was such a hassle. Now I can put this thing in its case and carry it anywhere.

  • touch screen works with my finger or a pencil or the little thing it came with.
  • It's super light.
  • Has a calendar,
  • fun games,
  • lasts for days
  • has a back light and had no problem reading it today with sun the blasting (impossible with a laptop)
  • remembers where you left of on each book so you can read many books at once
  • ink is very eye friendly, can be read for hours
  • only cost $100 with shipping
  • can be read in bed while others are sleeping w/o interrupting them with light
  • has music
  • plays movies
  • has 4gb of internal memory and slots for more if needed
  • can be used as an organizer for daily living

IT IS SO GREAT I CAN'T GET OVER IT!

One problem is that mine doesn't connect to the internet. When I have money I'll get one that has an internet connection.

What was the last good ebook you read?

oh darthmilf, normally I see posts like this and carry on but you are certainly an exception.

Something to remember is the kindle has no e-pub support. Barnes & Noble's e-reader, Nook, does support it. There are a ton of other e-readers on the market, but the two aforementioned products are definitely at the top of the list. Personally, I would go with Barnes & Noble's product because of the e-pub, and therefore public library, support. There are 3G and wi-fi versions available, the latter will surely suffice.
feel so special. =D yeah think i am going to go with the nook. the sis works at barnes and noble and is on the lookout for returns for cheap. woot. my eyeballs and headaches are decrying the reading on the puter. don't know how much longer i can handle it.
