When I was younger me and my friends used to ingest Coriceden cold and cough.my buddy's said it ha DXM in it. But we used to take them, about 10-15 of them. Now I see a lot of talk about DXM on here, is the stuff I used the same? Or is there a pure form of DXM? Extraction of some sort?

If I remember correctly, Coriceden is DXM mixed with chlorphenamine. The latter isn't particularly good for you in high doses. You can get medications with pure DXM in them (robotussin, among others).
Triple C's, as those are called, are responsible for MANY DXM-related incidences... I know they almost killed a friend of mine.

People around me that have tried the two different brands - CCC and Delsym (the latter containing ONLY DXM) - say that CCC's provide a different experience. Granted this is likely due to the anticholinergic effects aka delirium.
And yes, the chlorophenamine is quite bad in higher doses. Even a few of those "drops" (they remind me of cough drops) and the dose is toxic.
