Why is DXM generally looked down upon by other drug users? When I was new to it a 7 dollar bottle of DXM would have me tripping for hours and it'd be like I was in a whole other world, as opposed to spending 20 bucks on weed that would keep me high for a bit but not out of my mind. I mean yes it is used in cough syrup but that doesn't mean it's any less of a drug than LSD or Shrooms(which I've used). Not saying it's as good as them but there's no reason to consider it a stupid teenager drug. I have access to other things and I still enjoy a good DXM trip.

i found that dxm, made me very very stupid in appearance whilst tripping. Like a retarded Gaze i gave off apparantly, Which DXM has been regarded as Ketamines retarded Brother..
But i found that out of Ketamine and DXM i had clearer thoughts on DXM, But my body found it rough, Well i wasnt sick, My brain did to be more precise. Lol

It's just looked down upon because it's over the counter and therefore "not a real drug". Also, some people seem to be under the impression that it's way worse for you than it actually is.
DXM is amazing. After I close my eyes this is what happens:
I can still see my entire room with my eyes shut, I start to rearrange the furniture with my mind, I manipulate color: turn it into a black and white movie, and then I open the portal...That's where things start to get really interesting...

People associate it with stupid teenagers. Also some see that's an otc medications and they think wow that's not a real drug, that's for little kids....yeah completely stupid but I heard that said many times before. I guess they think they're more hardcore if they cop some dope on the streets. So they possibly can't look that badass if they go to the store and pick up a bottle of cough syrup.
Yea that must be it. DXM is no joke, a 1000mg dose will send you to another dimension, so the "just cough syrup" excuse is pretty lame on their part

jdjack man from reading your posts it seems like you are not really too experienced with many different drugs....i went through a DXM phase too but lemme tell you, once you start to use drugs that actually produce real, high quality euphoria (heroin, dilaudid, cocaine, meth) then you will forget all about DXM and never want to touch the shit again....

I hate the DXM high too, but I'd take it over meth any day... It's still a really powerful drug.
I have a lot of experience with the drugs I have done but you're right I don't have experience with a wide variety. I don't plan on using drugs like heroin, dilaudid, coke or meth. DXM and weed and hydro etc do the trick for me, why ruin that and risk addiction to serious shit? I've never tried it so I can never miss it or long for it. And besides I'd still like DXM, I like being disconnected from my mind like that. It does not produce an uncomfortable high in me, it causes a very nice high in me personally.

I've heard of DXM addiction, just because something is OTC doesn't mean its any more safe or any less safe than illict or prescription drugs.
I had it at one point I was going on 3 day binges and shoplifting it when I didn't have the cash for it

I have a friend who went on a month long binge of taking 800-1200mg a day (plus CPM), and had horrible withdrawals when he finally came off. I seriously think he has brain damage as a result of it.

the brain fog on dxm is very very strong.. The vision is awful Lol.
Ive never tried PCP , and can say ketamine after effects clear up soon enough

For me DXM is wayy more euphoric then dilaudid. And I'd choose DXM over coke or meth most of the time, and heroin some times. I love dissociatives in general. And DXM doesn't generally do the fucked up things that meth and coke are prone to do to you (to me at least, I stay away from meth and coke these days). Different strokes for different folks.

I agree that DXM is a lot more euphoric than dilaudid (oral). At least that's what I think. For dilaudid to be better I would have to shoot it most likely before choosing it over DXM.

Well because of my tolerance right now I would say dxm is more euphoric to me at least. I could understand dilaudid would be more euphoric to others but really it does nothing for me orally. Like I feel it but rather do a lot of other drugs before it.
Oh yeah I will add it has to be a lot of a higher dosage for dxm for me to have it feel more euphoric than dilaudid. It really just depends on the dosage for me..... sometimes dilaudid can be more euphoric. Just depends.

I'm extremely grateful DXM is OTC, we even get pure caps with 30mg each here, no yucky syrup for me, yay 
I've never really tripped on it, i merely use it as an aid for opiate WD. Second plateau really takes my mind off the general malaise, and combined with weed I find the days after the worst has passed completely bearable even through I still can't work because of the (DXM & weed induced) headfuck.
It also works as an opiate potentiator, not sure of the mechanism, but if I take a therapeutic dose (30-60mg) before I smoke my H, I attain the nod sooner than without, using the same quality dope.
Also, I really enjoy the first plat, very nice body high and euphoria if you don't ruin it by taking it daily, thus ruining the magic. Once per month should be OK, but don't take my word for it, IANAD.
All in all, thumbs up for DXM, and here' s to it staying under the media radar and legal as long as possible.
