Ok so, I am planning on using DXM again after a 3 month break. The reason I took a break is because last time I did it, I tried going to the bathroom (which is always fun while on DXM, robolegs :D) but this time as i got up from the bed, i blacked out and my entire body felt as if it was going to explode, then my heart rate skyrocketed. So the rest of the DXM high was me wondering when i was going to die, and i couldn't even listen to music because i was worried it would speed up my heart rate to much and I would die.
Now i've done some research and come to find out, (this is what i'm guessing) DXM is actually safe in high doses (btw i take robotussin gel caps pure DXM) and can't kill you like some drugs can, and the irregular sped up heartrate is just part of the experience, is this true? I've done DXM well over 40+ times, and everytime was amazing except for the last 3 which different things happened each time (one time my body shook violently and uncontrollably for 3 hours straight and i was freaking out, might have been because I took ecstasy 3-7 days before I can't remember) But the reason i'm asking here is because I know this is the harm reduction site (Thank you Bluelight :P ) and I was curious.
Thank you :)

Not True - DXM is not "safe" in high doses, and definitely has the potential to kill you, or at least cause some brain damage. And an irregular, high-speed pulse is really never a good thing.

You didn't inform us of the doses you are using. Generally anything above ~800 mg is heading into the danger zone. If you need more than that for good effects, you should probably stop... and it sounds like that's what DXM & your body are telling you to do anyway...

actually dextromethorphan is pretty non-toxic, he is right - these type of psychedelics can make yourself ask a lot of questions just like any other "mind altering drug" - but I am not a doctor so do not take my advice seriously and google is your friend :)
