Not sure how many of you used/use DXM, but I certainly don't like it.

I downed a bottle and a half of DXM-only generic CVS shit. It was buy one, get one free.. lol. I heard that DXM varies per person. If you don't do enough, you won't feel shit but dizziness, and if you do too much... well, you die. But if you hit it JUST right, it's a wild ride.

I'm a pretty big guy, weighing in at 230lbs, so I was comfortable with my amount. Ate some food with it to prevent stomach pain and waited for the effects.

The on-set was a hard rush. Little to no euphoria to speak of because my mind was overwhelmed with the dizziness.

I fought through the beginning of the experience, just smoking cigarettes, watching Family Guy and trying to stay positive.

And here's where it gets WEIRD...

I remember that the heaviest of the effects hit me at about 2:30am. I just sat there, starring at my front door as my head spinned and I felt like I couldn't move.

I fought this effect off and went into my DVR playlist and turned on an episode of Family Guy. My DVR has no end, it just replays the same episode over and over until you stop it. I started the episode at about 2:45 from what I recall, watched about 5 minutes of it while smoking, and then I completely zoned out.

I remember just starring at my floor, pretty much helpless. I started hearing sounds, but couldn't turn my head in the direction they were coming from. I don't remember seeing anything, just all those wiggly lines that go across your vision. After a while of just sitting there, starring, I began to panic for some reason, but couldn't stop blankly starring. I just remember telling myself in my head over and over, "I'm fine, just snap out it. Just snap out of it."

I don't remember much from my trance-like blankness, but when I was finally able to pull my head away and focus on the TV, I realized I was at the end of my Family Guy episode.

So normally I thought that I spaced out for MAYBE 20 minutes or so. Well then my eyes wander to the clock on my cable box and the time was fucking 4:50am!

I had literally zoned out about 2 hours and couldn't remember anything. To me, it felt like it was maybe 5 or 10 minutes of me just starring and talking to myself.

Needless to say, DXM is fucked up. And I don't think I'll be repeating that experience, not without a sitter. Not my cup of tea.
