I have been experementing with DXM for the past few weeks. Mostly ill down a 4oz bottle and be decently fucked, but last night I downed one, then an hour later another.

After about 3 hours my body became completly numb (I couldnt even feel a ciggarette), food tasted like.... nothing. Extremely hard to focus on any object, almost impossible to read, and very hard to walk. Also attempting to talk felt like i was mentally retarded. Now I wouldnt call this a bad trip, I was just so high that i was on couchlock.

Is this your experience with DXM robo? I have read a few trip reports but none of them seem like what i described, or not to that level. But from what I have read they hallucinate... I have never had this happen to me before and am wondering if it ever will. I know im definitly going into mid second plateau, thinking of taking like 8 CCC's then 2 bottles of robo and see where that takes me.

I had used DXM a few times a few weeks before my last DXM trip, which I expected to go well as the others even though I would be taking a larger dose at one single time. I drank a generic robitussin (4 OZ.), so about 350 mg give or take a few. Well, let me tell you that experience was STRONG. Lying on my back with cover my face perfectly still, I basically lost all awareness of my body. I became so "detached" that I remember being in a very very different place, and not in my room. I got so wrapped up in it that I forgot what I had done, why I was feeling like this, who I was, where I was. It was very intense. Eventually I broke the "paralysis" which wasn't really hard, but was very weird. As I sat up I realized I was very disoriented, confused, and somewhat panicked. There was definite dysphoria, and walking was very weird/challenging. A brain-body disconnect. When I attempted to watch the television, I could not really understand what was going on, I understood basics, but they just didn't make sense. Sensory "flanging" too. Very weird. I also later developed a headache which at the time thought was very bad. DXM is a very weird drug it seems, but early experiences I had were very pleasurable when I used lower dosages. I am 145 lbs and only one 4 oz. bottle of the generic robitussin did this to me. I don't know if I have a natural sensitivity, but it seemed almost like a "third-plateau" trip to me. I want to use DXM again sometime in the near future, but felt as if I never would again during the actual trip.

The way you explained it is exactly hoe I feel when using dxm.....when I smoke cigs it feels like nothing, and I look like a crazy bastard when trying to look at something because I have to squint one eye, and I also feel pretty retarded. My body also goes pretty numb. But that is usually the effects I notice on a 1st or 2nd plateau, once I get into the 3rd and beyond it is a whole different ballgame.

The first time I reached a 3rd plateau everything was in a trance, and I was able to control the movement of objects, specifically water in a pool. I stood in front of my friends pool while we were both tripping for like a half and hour looking like a crazy bastard thinking that I could control the movement of the water lol
