DXM tripping when actually sick?

So I am a bit sick. I have a sore throat, snot... yada yada.
I was in the drugstore to get some cough drops when I noticed they have the DXM only gelcaps and a little evil light went off in my head... and I'm sure you get the idea.

So my question is would this be a very bad idea to do? If I am actually a bit sick with a light cold / flu sore throat, am I just asking to get slammed if I do say a 400mg dxm trip? Or would it be ok?

I have done it before and I am still not sure how I feel about it... hence the curiosity to try again since I am kinda bed / home bound anyway.

I think it'd be made much less fun by being sick, and i would recommend against it.

Get healthy. Don't go using psychedelics when you are sick. You're more likely to have an unpleasant trip and it's not going to do your ailing body any favours.

uhhhh wait, what are the dxm only gelcaps called? I have never used DXM. Does DXM make you feel sick normally or is it just from people drinking alot of cough syrup?

I think those answers are found in a lot of places... no, it doesn't make you sick (you might puke), but I don't know if tripping while sick is such a good idea. The DXM trip isn't very clean in the first place. Doubt it'd be outright harmful if you're not all that ill, but I doubt it'd be enjoyable either, especially if you get the side-effects like robo-itch...

The majority of the time a DXM trip involves nausea. The best way to reduce the nausea is to use extracted DXM (so I've heard)

If it's only a mild cough for which DXM is the medicine then obviously you could also trip on it and have a double whammy. Overdo it with the DXM chronically and ironically it treats you on a nice little cough.
