Can anyone please explain how it is that dxm can breakdown/prevent tolerance to stimulants, along with other drugs, and with that what dosage of dxm and how frequently, to get the prevention/breakdown of stim. tolerance.
DXM is an NMDA-antagonist.
to my knowledge, stimulants agonize the NMDA receptor, thus causing tolerance.
so throw in an NMDA-antagonist and it essentially reverses tolerance.
NMDA-antagonists up-regulate DA receptors too right? someone correct me if im wrong
