Dissociatives [DXM Subthread] First Plateau Trips

Dude, never go around IVing random drugs like DXM... Who knows what this could do to the veins or what overdose potential there is. I've read online that DXM powder can in fact be injected intramuscularly and saw a friend do it. He had to add everclear to the DXM powder to make it dissolve and used something like 4 syringes to fit all his powder (which was maybe 3-400 mg though I really can't remember as this was many years ago and I was extremely strung out at the time).

If you must try an alternative way of ingesting DXM I'd assume rectal might work as well or better than orally. Would it be better to make the powder into a liquid solution and insert it up your ass using a needleless syringe, anima bulb or shoving capsules of DXM up there?
 
Yeah I def. second Xorkoth's advice. DXM polystirex is DEFINITELY more toxic (prob. a LOT more toxic) than DXM hbr. I've used Delsym many times and never found it clean, always found it had increased side effects, a shitty ass comedown and hangover. Only on polystirex do I get this extremely hot, sweaty body and feel so retarded mentally. It can't be healthy to have the polystirex coating forcing the DXM to linger in one's body so long. It prob. is as bad or worse than if one were binging all day on DXM hbr.

The cleanest DXM products you can take would be:

Zicam Cough Max, Robitussin Cough Gels, Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough Syrup

If you can afford to go with the Zicam .... (price removed- swilow) Zicam kicks in faster, feels cleaner to me and doesn't have a bunch of nasty additives.

Make sure you have an empty stomach when you consume any form of DXM and take puffs of MJ when you feel nauseous. Or lie down and shut your eyes and take deep breaths. Usually, once one vomits any nausea vanishes.

For a 1st time DXM experience only take an extremely low dose like 100 milligrams to make sure your body doesn't have an extremely toxic reaction (such as happens with people lacking the right enzymes to break down DXM). If you successfully handle a low dose then you can try 2-400 milligrams and see how that treats you. I'd think around 250-300 mg would be ideal for a newb.

I don't really want to look up the active ingrediants in all of those, but the "cleanest" dxm products would be anything with dxm as it's only active ingrediant, and I suppose the least amount of inactive ingrediants would also help...but I'm not sure by how much.
At any rate, all the dxm I take nowadays is extracted from syrups.

did it work? tell us what your friend experienced. ketamine is way to expensive in the doses quanity I take it at and I like tha raw rush of IVed dissosiatives.
 
Im wanting to say goodbye to dxm and get done with it. Ive never really got past the second plateua I guess, but this time I want to be FUCKED UP. But I dont want to die. See, I take an SSRI and I dont know if the worst that can happen is seratonin syndrome or if that can kill me. So, whats the most I could take of something like robotussin (pill form) and not die

The LD50 of DXM is not well known. In searching medical
literature, I found only two cases of death associated with DXM use,
both in Sweden. In one case, a girl was found dead in a public
bathroom with two bottles of 30mg DXM tablets (the number of tablets
is believed to be 50/bottle, but may be 15 or 25). She had previously
tried to commit suicide using a bottle of 50 tablets (this leads me to
believe that she had, in fact, taken 100 tablets, for a total dose of
3000mg). The other case involved a 27 year old man, and few details
were specified. In both cases, death was apparently due to inhibition
of respiration. Plasma levels of DXM were 9.2 and 3.3 micrograms per
gram (cases 1 and 2); plasma levels of dextrorphan were 2.9 and 1.5
micrograms per gram. In both cases, the ratio of DXM to dextrorphan
was about 3 (9).
On the other hand, a dosage of 42mg/kg/day has been used in
children (33), which would be 2500 to 3000mg for a reasonable-sized
adult (60-70kg). There is also a very low incidence of death
associated with DXM use. Since a 42mg/kg dose in an adult may be
stronger than the equivalent dose in a child (I have no reason to
believe this, but it is possible), caution is advisable in taking this
as an indication of safety.
It is reasonable to expect, given the data, and the available
data on the effects of high DXM doses, that DXM starts becoming toxic
around 2000 to 3000mg (for an adult). This corresponds to between 5
and 8 4oz bottles of 3mg/ml cough syrup, i.e., a fairly large amount,
but still within the realm of hardcore experimenters. Keep this in
mind before you consider large doses. IV naloxone is considered the
antidote for DXM overdose

I've seen people post about it before and report good results. But there's a report on Erowid where it made the writer's rectum bleed. It's difficult to imagine how such a severe effect in one person would have little to no adverse effects at all on others. If you do it, start with like 10 or 20mg in a mL or two of water to test membrane sensitivity.

I've read a few reports where users tried plugging DXM and none of them were successful. Most of them reported a lot of discomfort and/or diarrhea. I would recommend against it even though DXM can be terribly nauseating when taken orally.

I recommend trying antihistamines or smoking weed prior to dosing DXM to combat nausea, those both have helped me in the past. I don't smoke regularly and I only use it to prevent nausea with DXM, but it is the most effective antiemtic I've come across.

Well, I smoke regularly lol. Good thing for me! I did do it once, but I didn't take enough DXM to warrant any nausea in the first place, maybe I'll give it a try before risking any rectal discomfort. ha ha
 
I have usually drank one liter of Grapefruit juice during couple hours before taking DXM

If I this time get dysphoric, fuck ....

Because I think Effexor kills euphoria from DXM somehow. Or I have strong tolerance, because of alcoholism , or something...
 
Whenever I've taken DXM it was contained in cough syrup or some other medication. I recently got hold of some DXM HBr powder. I'm interested to try it and see the difference.

However the only reason I took DXM in the first place is that it was impossible for me to get hold of ketamine, and DXM was easy. Now I can get K again, I'm not that interested in taking the DXM.

How much better is it taking pure DXM than cough syrup? I assume a lot of the digestive system problems are alleviated? Does anyone still like DXM despite being able to get K?

Give me some positive reasons to take it!
 
well on erowid it says that lsd only stays in urine for 24 - 72 hours but hypethetically if it was ingested on a friday during miday what are the odds of it showing up in a urine test on monday miday

and also say that if its ingested saturday early morning what are the odds that itl show up on the drug test on monday miday

p.s the drug tests are sophisticated cuz its done at a ritzy rehab sorta but will flushing my system with water quicken the detection period?
