DXM potentiating heroin

I've seen a couple of threads stating that a small dose of DXM (double the recomended dose for a cough) will help lower one's tolerance to heroin (or opiates in general I suppose). Anyways, here is my question which I couldn't find an answer to. I took DXM (not much, defenitely not past second plataeu) last night. Will this still affect my opiate tolerance 24 hours later? I am curious as I don't want to do my normal dose and end up OD-ing because my tolerance was significantly lowered. Thanks!
