Dxm polistirex ?

ok I will read the label Delsym. Dextromethophan Polistirex.

Extended release suspension. so what does this mean compared to regular Dxm with no other ingredient?

Dxm polistirex equivalent to 30mg Dxm hydrobromide active ingredient ( in each 5 mL )

so ???

any thoughts at all? it is safe?

it will last 8-12 hours instead of 4-8. your 2D6 enzymes won't be as flooded with DXM that needs to be metabolized so you will end up with more DXO (this is a good thing)

i usually take 60-120mgs in the morning of the Delsym XR for the best results
 
I have merged your posts - it is better to edit your original post rather than posting again. I don't know the answer (DXM isn't common in the UK and have not heard of an extended release version) but be patient and someone will reply.

I imagine it would be safe, but as it is extended release you won't get the dose all at once so you won't get the effects you are after.

Polistirex is the extended-release version of DXM. Basically what the means is, a 3oz (89ml) bottle of DXM, which adds up to 534mg hbr, will be released over the course of 8-12 hours. Usually you will feel two separate kicks in the dosage, 267mg the first hours after you take it, and then the other 267mg will be felt around 4+ hours later. Personally I would dose a 5oz bottle, with that amount there will be 444mg released at first, and then in the later hours another 444mg will build on-top of that. If you're looking for a longer trip, polistirex is the way to go.

Depends on what you're looking for, but more DXO = less psychedelic and more stony. The general rule of thumb for DXM poli. is twice as long, half as strong. It's rather boring and mellow compared to DXM hbr though.
 
polystirex's only advantage is that it can be extracted and taken in it's pure form. All you have to do is pour the Delsym (or whatever you're using) into some water and let it sit for a day or so. All the DXM will sink to the bottom, allowing you to siphon the top layer of water/shitty syrup off and be left with a layer of DXM polystirex at the bottom.

However, I would never trip on this form of DXM. It is never really psychedelic, and wayyy too long lasting. I just end up feeling dumb for 2-3 days.

Stick to HBr imo.

It doesn't take a day to do that extraction, more like 3 hours or so. And you can let the DXM polysirex completely dry out before taking a razor blade to it and finely chopping it, releasing the DXM from the polysirex, the more finely you chop it the more of it will hit you at once.
 
Most of my DXM experiences involved time-release gelcaps with beads in them, containing around ~42 mg DXM Polystirex equivalent to 60 mg DXM HBr. (I have had at least DXM 50+ Polystirex trips, then DXM just became too 'boring', so I do have quite some experience with this form of DXM...) ...So it has been at least 18 months since my last trip. Most DXM products seem to have disappeared during the last year, probably they became too popular sadly. :(

Basically it is an edible plastic LOL. =D DXM Polistirex is a time-release formulation of DXM, the "polistirex" refers to a sulfonated styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer complex. So you have a much longer experience which can be very extreme when you use 12,5 mg+ per kilogram of bodyweight.

When I have more time (and some form of stimulant :P) I will share everything I know of DXM including the 'Sigma experience' which I prefer over a K-hole, the DXM ego-loss and out of body experiences are just as much fun as 'robowalking' is for some people... *grin* ;)
