DXM poli and DXM hbr?

I have always done dex trips with "delsym" a dxm poli syrup that has 888mg of DXM, when I drink the whole thing I have a pretty cool trip but i don't think it's as strong as a 888mg dxm hbr trip would be cuz I can still walk and function

First question: since delsym is "extended release" is it actually as strong as a 888mg trip? Or is it half as strong and lasts twice as long so I am really experiencing a 444mg trip.

Second question: IF I extract the dxm from a delsym bottle (put in plastic bag of with water and dxm sinks to bottom)
and get what I believe is called "dxm freebase." Will I have 888mg of regular dxm that will result in a much stronger, less duration trip?

This extraction doesn't convert the polystirex to a freebase and your result will still be DXM polystirex, but this extraction does however give you the benefit of being able to crush the powder as fine as possible before consuming in an attempt to break the plastic coating. From experience however, this does little to nothing... the trip was still underwhelming and long lasting.

If your seeking a stronger buzz why not just purchase the HBr form? I used to consume quite a bit of DXM in highschool with friends and Delsym was always weaker than DXM HBr unless the dose was absurd, then I'd have to deal with a trip that still had residual effects almost 20 hours later.

Delsym is just less dissociative, like you say functioning is usually effortless because your not as removed from reality which IMO is the core of a dissociative experience. Polystirex is more suited for taking before a party or with a group of friends so that you guys can paint the town.

While Delsym may get the illusion of getting more DXM for your money, we've always found that even one bottle of 354mg HBr syrup is equal to, if not stronger than a full bottle of Delsym... so for us, the difference in potency is more than half. The only times me and my friends would get Delsym was when we took all of the DXM only HBr preperations.

Thanks for letting me know. It confused me to why the effects took hours when consuming the extracted powder from delsym. I'm probably going to switch to hbr!
