DXM mixed with Benadryl?

When I take Benadryl alone I just get knocked out and fall asleep no matter what. I've heard good stories about Benadryl potentiating DXM and making the trip better though. Would mixing these two just ruin my DXM trip and make me fall asleep?

Also for some reason a few days after I take DXM when ever I take Benadryl instead of making me tired I start feeling Minor DXM effects. Dose anybody know why this happens? Thanks.
 
The only reason I would take Benadryl with DXM is as an anti-nauseant. (Which it works well as). Otherwise, like you said, it'll probably knock you the fuck out.

Diphenhydramine is a mild serotonin reuptake inhibitor just like DXM. It's not a very strong effect nor is it present in most people - it's usually overpowered by the antihistamine effects.
 
Benadryl the day after creates "DXM effects" because it's a deliriant. It's actually more like the DXM hangover potentiating Benadryl's effects. If you mix them make sure you don't take any more than the recommended dose of Benadryl - mixing both of them at hallucinogenic doses could easily prove fatal.
 
Benadryl (diphenhydramine/DPH) is an antihistamine that is also metabolized by the same enzyme as clorpheniramine (CPM) and DXM. This means that DXM+DPH might be more euphoric than either one alone (just like those who have tried CCC will say it is more euphoric than pure DXM), the combination is FAR more dangerous than pure DXM. Each of the two drugs inhibit the metabolism of the other one, leading to increased potency and risk of serious complications from overdose.
 
I always take 25-75 mg of Benadryl whenever I use DXM (depending on the dose), and while I have noticed some slight (very slight) potentiation effects, the only thing it's really good for is a robo-itch counter. Don't mix the two in recreational doses (a dissociative with a delirient? No thanks) and you should be fine.
 
I'm not planning on going above the recommended dosage (no more then 75mg). I just think since even 75mg of Benadryl (no tolerance) puts you in a dreamy state that even the recommended dosage would at least slightly increase the DXM experiance
