DXM lifting brain fog

First of all tried everything to heal my brain fog and I've accepted it. I'm not saying this cured it, or will for you, its just a curious occurrence. Yesterday I partook in a rather odd occurrence. Usually being a compulsive person i deviated and tried taking my DXM over the extension of Sunday and just kick back and enjoy not working or school. I have 600 mg ingested(one tablet every 45 minutes by sub lingual) (cherry flavor :)). After the usual zoned out dissosciative effects i kicked back 1500mg L-Tryosine (in case its important) and 100mg diphenhydramine. Today i awake with 11 hours sleep and have no brain fog feel very happy no icky depressed feeling and feel very content, noticed im sorta lacking motivation but im still getting everything done that needs to be.

I do have a relatively high tolerance to DXM, and i do use it frequently about 2-3 times a week at 300mg i was just wondering if dxm might have been responsible for this or I'm just crazy.

Important! I'm not feeling euphoric in any way just content sort of relaxed peacefulness about me not euphoric. I was not expecting this feeling so i dont think its placebo. I did see that Ketamine had a reset effect on depression (which i dont have thankfully) but it might affect brain fog (a symptom of depression). Sadly I've never come across Ketamine so i cant compare the feeling, but i was just curious if the dxm could do this or im just crazy.

PS is this is all just crazy rambling feel free to delete mods =D

It does sound like an afterglow to me. I find the Ketamine afterglow gets rid of any brain fog (at least temporarily) and makes me think a lot more clearly, plus relieves any negative feelings I'm having and leaves me feeling really good about myself. It's why studies have shown that Ketamine (and potentially other dissociatives) could potentially be a great anti-depressant.

This is a standard DXM hangover/afterglow for me only for me the 'lack of motivation' is more of a complete inability to do anything apart from lie in bed. Even getting up to go to the bathroom is very difficult. So as long as I can just lie in bed all day its quite a nice day

That's the afterglow! The tyrosine probably helped, but as long as you have a good diet and can replanish and neurotransmitter that might get burned up during the high, you can almost always get an afterglow on DXM. As long as you do it early enough in the day that you get enough good sleep. The dosage for an afterglow is a little tricky -- too much and it's like a hangover, and too little and it's worse brain fog than usual.

Trying to repeat the results more too often will result in the little bit lack of motivation getting worse and worse until you really can't be bothered to do anything the day after DXM but lay around.

Enjoy, and use sparingly. The afterglow is reason enough for me to hit the DXM sometimes.

Quick question...whenever i am on dxm and yawn i get this massive wave of euphoria but also light nausea. It doesn't last long but feels great...anyone else have that happen to them? Also the next day after I wake I get the same yawn/rush thing until my after glow is gone.

I thought it was interesting and if i am the only one who experiences it.

You might want to read up on the effects of frequent DXM usage. I don't think your 'brain fog' is much of a mystery. You should wait at least a month between trips!
