DXM is the bomb!

Atomic at that. With my OCD I get 1 mg xanax four times a day with other psych meds but DXM just makes me forget all about my OCD. I had a psychosis in 05 from using meth to much. It lasted about 7 months and pot will trigger that to come out so thats not an option. But DXM just is or not better the MJ. I have so much fun doing it and I get things done. BTW it's nice to be here.

How would you describe its effects in comparison to weed for your OCD?

DXM is a SNRI (serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) with additional sigma1/2 agonist and NMDA antagonist properties. Everything but the NMDA antagonism are actually effects of various antidepressants. It actually fits the pharmacological profile of an antidepressant (tricyclic or SNRI) better than a dissociative hallucinogen, at least at smaller doses.

Other drugs that share activity at the sigma receptor: cocaine, citalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, sertraline, opioids, amphetamine, lamotrigine, DMT.

Weed just makes me spike in my OCD because it channels all of my fears and makes them more sensitive. Like I guess it's just plain being paranoid while on it. DXM however doesn't do that to me. it just gives me enery and I could have convo's for hours on this stuff. It has really help in the short term but used everyday you'll have withdrawals which I don't like.

Only thing I don't like about it is it takes forever to kick in.
