DXM: Is it safe for women?

I have heard that this is a particularly dangerous drug for women to take for some reason.
If it is, how come? What kind of effects does it have on women that it does not effect men?
I have a friend who would like to experiment with DXM, but has been afraid to do so because of this. Any information, or feedback would be very much appreciated.
 
Well, I am not a woman, so I dunno how much I can help you. ;) But, I've taken this quite a few times. Well, I would have to say that if you're pregnant, avoid this like the plague.... But, other than that, I have never heard that, nor can I honestly think of a logical reason as to why DXM would be more dangerous to a healthy woman than a man.....
