DXM: how long will it keep?

what up... long time off the boards for me.
I have this baggie of DXM that I have had for quite a long time.... several months I think. I have been keeping it in two plastic baggies inside a wooden container. The container is sealed somewhat, but is definitely not air tight.
Anyone know if it is still OK or not? I really don't have any idea how well the stuff keeps and am hesitant to try it until I know for sure.

it should be fine...i have a bottle of dxm powder...dunno what to do with it...i hate the shit
 
yeah i think it would be fine in its pure form, a bottle of tussin would not be good to keep around (i can just imagine this making someone very sick)
