My gf and i have been dexing a lot lately. after our latest binge she stated getting the "zaps" a loud crashing noise followed with pain in her head. we have been doing a lot of whippits as well.this has lasted for the last week. so she decided to gamble and dex today and i now going into seizures off and on for the last few hours.

I know we have a problem, I know were idiots. we know of the risks involved.

???????

straight dxm. she drank 2 4 oz of generic robo.

only active ingredient dxm

and no.

the story isthis. she started dexing with me a few months go. weve been binging on dxm for 5 days. dosing 500+ and doing 100 whippts day. she woke up to a seizure and ever since then had the "zaps".

over a week later she tried some more dex to see what would hapen (gamble)
and started going into seizures. i have dexed for a long time and am a member on the dextroverse so please answer only if you have been through tis or theories

im dexing so sorry for the bad sentences/spelling

First of all, nitrous can induce seizures I have first hand experience with that. In combination with other dissociatives or psychedelics this especially becomes an issue, otherwise only less so in excesses.
Furthermore, there is exploding head syndrome (seriously) besides brain zaps and EHS is occasionally also seen in (too) frequent dissociative users; as you probably know the most common cause for brain zaps is SSRI discontinuation but you excluded that. Lots of MDMA can also cause it. I have read though about other people that have binged on DXM that resulted in brain zaps. I also believe that while this is probably not too healthy for your CNS it seems to be less life threatening than it feels.
Recently I have experienced similar things after doing a big amount of ketamine. It started after stopping and it especially occurred when I was trying to sleep in a dark room, which is what I have heard about MDMA users as well (it happening when trying to sleep). It seems to be some sort of sudden overload associated with sensory deprivation.

You are asking for help well then help yourself and help your girlfriend by quitting DXM!
And also nitrous because even though a balloon is all right for a healthy person, it has become as clear as day for me and friends that troubled bodies and brains handle nitrous quite badly!
Treat this with discretion, I emplore you.

For the time being, let's allow this thread to run its course before adding it to the Big & Dandy DXM Thread.

Going to the emergency room would be wise from the 'better safe than VERY sorry' perspective, yes. The brain zaps themselves, I said, can apparently be extremely uncomfortable but not life threatening but if they are insanely frequent to the point of continuous and you are adding seizures on top of it then the ER might not be a bad idea.

It is hard for us to make that decision for you, really what you should do in any case is take responsibility. If she becomes unresponsive of course that is a bad sign, if you are on DXM now then you can't drive her yourself.

I hope she will be all right man :\
For both of your sakes don't take that gamble again.

^i second that (at uniter). better safe then sorry. frequent seizures together with the pain she's reporting following the zaps sounds serious enough to me

edit (Sol beat me to it)

update:

the consistency has fluxated as has the power of them. I dont have access to benzos

Honestly i cant drive a car and put us both at risk. and even if i did brig her to an emergency room what would they do besides benzos?

Im thinking once the dxm she tok runs its course she should be fine since this s hat triggered the new symptoms and severity. Ive been montoring her vitals and breathing the whole time. She seem coherent when she is awake which is a good sign. tIt just seems like her brain is misfiring.

Any numbness in the extremities? fingers and toes? B12 deficicency....

I know paralysis is a symptom of B12 deficiency, which is a consequence of doing 100 whippits a day....

Mixed with large amounts of DXM for days on end, who really knows what to do in this scenario...

General procedure in a seizure is to go to the hospital if she has no prior history of them, or if they last more than 5 minutes....

If these are happening often she needs medical care immediatly....

Longer than 5 minutes and bad things can happen....

Lay off the DXM and whippits for both your health.... And take some B12, god knows you both need it doing that much nitrous....

we know of the risks involved.

No, you dont....

If you did, your girlfriend wouldn't be having seizures at the moment.... You would also know why she is having them....

Also, email erowid.....

This needs to go under health warnings.... As it doesn't seem to list seizures as a consequence to binges of DXM and nitrous....

If erowid doesn't list it, your doctors probably aren't going to be able to do much.... But at least they could put her on life support if need be incase she stops breathing or whatnot...

get her to the hospital immediately! This could be really dangerous and you need a professional doctor to help you

she was the one who specifically told me to not take her to the hospital. She said she had numbness in extremities but no pain. she reassured me throughout the night that she was with it.

I was the one pushing the drive her to the hospital. We do know the consequences. before she did the dxm we both aknowledge it was a gamble. we knew it would either help ( slim chance) or make it much worse. It made it worse obviously. My thoughts were that her brain was over stimulated and was misfiring. I thought once the dxm trip was over (6-8 hours) that she would be better and once the half life of dxm was over, she would return to her before the dex if not worse.

She ended up having a few sporadic short lived was i would call seizure but i would describe them as more of convulsions. She was arch her back or turn in a flash. then return back to her normal state

This morning the convulsions had all but gone. She describes having a good after glow.

We are both experienced dex users and members or the dextroverse for years. We both knew it had a big risk to this and went ahead any way as any one who uses drugs recreationally does.

I didnt come on here for judgment so thank you to the people who were here to help and fuck you to the people who just criticized us.

Bluelight/erowid/dextroverse has been a great tool for us. I will be reporting this to erowid.

ps we dont have medical insurance and are poor college students who are already in debt so another hospital trip was a close to last option. I montiored her thoughout the night and she was coherent outside of her convulsions. i repeatedly asked her to go to the hosipital but she didnt want to saying she was fine.

im glad to hear she's recovering. i fail to see any people here judging or criticizing you though

edit: i'd still advise her to get a medical checkup, better sooner then later. seizures can be psychological, but you'd want know if its from physical damage.

seriously go get b vitamins from a pharmacy, b12 preferably, in caplet form, natural as possible, no tablets.

Especially strong b12 methylcobalamin. Wright this down, go get some it will help a ton. Vitamin c and multivitMins help. Healthy drinks, stay hydrated, healthy. No soda. I hope she gets better. You guys take a break.

Cause if you have had no b12 and hundreds of whippets, dammit your killing your nervous system by the minute. Get b-2 if you haven't. Look for methylcobalamin not cyanocobalamin if possible.

You need to get her some B12....

Thats something you need to not have paralysis as a result of doing too much nitrous.... it starts as numbness in the extremities and nerve function just declines from there.....

Lay off the drugs for a while, for your health and hers..... Doing 100+ whippits a night and binging on DXM is far from healthy, but i think you knew that already.....
