DXM hangover?

hey guys, i just have a question that im having trouble finding the answer to.

last week i dosed pure DXM powder, approximately 330mg (i only had a scale accurate to 100mg so it coulda been anywhere from 300-400 really, but i know i took a gram and split it between 3 people...)

anyways.. i was definitely really fuucked*** lmao and i ended up falling asleep later in the night and slept for like 4 hours, but the craziest thing is when i woke up i was STILL fucked.. like my vision and balance were still not back to normal for the whole next day which i really had no problem with. this was the first time experiencing this on any drug ahaha

i've done DXM quite a few years back when i didn't even know what it was, i just knew that these cold pills got me fucked lol but i never remember being affected for more than 24 hours.

ok so my question is: is the reason i was still feeling it the whole next day just because i have no tolerance? or is this normal to still have effects lasting for more than 24 hours.. because i really like DXM but i work often/go to school every weekday and its rare that i find 2 days in a row where i have nothing to do so i dont wanna be fucked still if i have work lmao im just hoping that it was cuz my body isnt used to the DXM or if anyone has ever had lasting effects like that

There is such thing as an afterglow experienced by some after a DXM experience, but there can also be negative after-effects lasting into the next day or longer. Though, I am not sure that is what you experienced. It sounds like you still were experiencing the effects of the DXM quite a bit, and doesn't sound like just "after-effects". Perhaps you metabolize DXM a bit differently causing the effects to last longer.

well both my friends said they felt the dxm effects the next day but they said they were fine by the end of the day, whereas i was still feeling strange the 2nd morning after dosing.

i dosed at like 10pm on a saturday, and my vision and balance were still impaired all of sunday and on monday morning i had to write a physics exam where i still felt kind of intoxicated until i burned a bowl after the exam.. i was thinking i might metabolize it slower than my friends... or i just had a bigger dose cuz that is also easily possible with my less accurate scale. god damn i need a mg scale.

DXM can leave me feeling kind of "fried" with respect to the mental after-effects. This effect can remain some for more than just a day, but fades quickly enough. With you it sounds different though, because you still felt intoxicated the second morning after taking it. Very well might be something with metabolizing it differently.

I always get this weird thing after DXM where I keep repeating what I say. Someone will ask me a question, and I will be like "yes, yes, yes, yes". Strange, but it happens.

oh i definitely agree with you Alex000 about the above post,
the only thing i could say when i was actually on the trip was "im FUUUUCKED" ahahah or thats what i definitely said the most that night ahaha

but yeah like i wanna give it another try cuz maybe it was just since it was my first time robotripping in years and i took a decent amount... im believing i got to like the bottom of the 3rd plateau (i only weigh 120lbs and i dosed anywhere from 300-400mg)


God i really need a mg scale

Yes, you really ought to have a mg scale if you are dabbling with pure DXM powder. I remember one of the times I'd taken DXM, I think 354 mg, I snapped out of my trance I was well into, and I started asking the clock "what the fuck?" over and over. I was actually asking the clock. LOL. I knew it couldn't answer, but still. That was one of my first stronger experiences with DXM, I don't remember much of my actual "trip", but I am pretty sure ego loss or something like it was a part of it.

with my dose, i could definitely just say i was fuuucked* ahahahha . my buddy did 350mg last night (i had a scale this time to weigh to the .01g, still not as accurate as i need but its better than a scale only accurate to the 0.1g) and all he could tell me was that he was stupid. like he felt retarded as if the dex had taken over his brain lmfao
he told me he struggled to do anything involving motor skills, but it was funny because he could answer common sense questions and stuff so he wasn't really retarded, he just kept saying that phrase "i feel stupid!"

Yes, DXM does that to me. I can think about things fairly clearly, but when it comes to applying those thoughts to the real world, well it just doesn't go. DXM really just puts me in another place, and the severe impairment of motor skills ads to that. It is like my body does what it does, and I am somewhere else. Weird, can be fun.
