DXM First Time?

Hi,
I'm thinking about trying DXM for the first time along with codeine which I already take and have a bit of a tolerance to. Would this mix be dangerous? What sort of effects can I expect?

Ive got two syrups to choose from either JUST DXM as the active ingerdiant or DXM and Diphendryamine as the active ingredients... I'm sort of swinging towards the syrup with DXM and Diphendryamine as I do like the sedation effect that antihistamines bring about.

I was thinking of mixing my codeine (120mg) with sprite as per usual and then adding the syrup of DXM and Diphendryamine.
 
do you take any medication? that's the number one most important thing we need to know.

diphenhydramine and dxm can be dangerous, just do the dxm.

i wouldn't do the codeine with it unless you're addicted, dxm is a bizarre drug that i feel is worth experiencing alone for beginners.
 
You'll waste your codeine
DPH is only for the anti-histamine, I've had some bad reactions to DXM where I wished I had an anti-histamine
If you are gonna mix it for that dirty sedation, you can take more DPH and it's meant to potentiate the DXM (I've only done it once and didn't find it to do that much)

Make sure you've got some bud to smoke
Also you don't wanna mix your DXM with anything, that just means drinking more of something disgusting. Drink it straight and use ur sprite as a chaser.
 
I take prozac (fluoxetine 40mg) but I don't take it on days/days before I take codeine as I've heard it stopped the codeine from being converted to morphine?

i also take propanolol 40mg sometimes.

what sort of effects does the DXM bring about? I'll think I'll take the Diphendryamine with it just to stop/reduce any possible reaction. What sort of dose should I begin with for DXM? I want to start with a lower than what you would use for a beginner dose just to have a 'sense' of whats its like before I throw myself in at the deep end.

The Syrup I have has both DXM and diphendryamine as the active ingredianrts, and it's a OTC product. So it can't be that dangerous can it?
 
its a common rule to make sure the only active ingredient is dxm
but if you choose to ingest what you already have, I recommend a low-mid plateau 2 (look up dxm calculator)
if youre going to a party or plan on being social I recommend mid plateau 1. Don't mix with anything unless youre a fan of weed and enjoy weed with everything you do! No alcohol or anything else, probably not codeine either...
Nausea/throwing up is normal. If you think you will throw up try to hold it in for up to an hour so all the effects absorb in, ive probably lost 50-70mg at times from throwing up too early.
You will have a different perception of time (time will be fairly slow) and gravity (almost anything physical feels weird)
dxm is a special one, very unique high in my opinion. a lot of people enjoy a lower trip but a plateau 3+ (effects are literally a whole new level of tripping) are not "fun" to most people
the body high is intense, but I personally enjoy it. At a lower dose you may feel slightly drunk, and maybe a feeling of weed.
the high is designed for music, it isn't really fun without it, look up "relaxing music mix" and sit back and try that.
Remember this is a hallucinogenic. you will have intense eye closed visuals if you take a lot!
You don't really see things like you would on acid, its almost like you feel them.
dxm is a dissociative, at times you will feel you have no idea where you are.
the high is easy to control/hide
overall be safe, and only do this monthly.
 
I have a 150ml bottle of the syrup. It states: Active Ingredients per 5ml: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide 6.65mg, Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 10.0mg
Also contains: Sodium Benzoate (E211), Ethanol, Glycerol (E422), Sorbitol (E420), Hydrogenated Glucose Syrup, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol: 7.3 vol%

so I was thinking of taking two spoonfuls: DXM 13.3mg and diphendryamine 20mg. I know this is a really, really tiny dose but just wanted to see how it goes, especially since I'm on prozac.

so, sorry for sounding so stupid, how does prozac interact with DXM to cause serotonin syndrome?

DO NOT take DXM with SSRIs. Even at Therapeutic doses.

You'd feel the DPH more than the DXM. 13.3mg of DXM is like trying to find a ring in the ocean
