DXM - First time - Nightmare x 12

I was 17 when this happened (now i'm 20), but I remember it like it was yesterday. This was during my figurative honeymoon with ecstacy, so it was an experimental time for me when it came to drugs.

I went out one night with my crew of knucklehead high school drug fiends... I mean friends, and they said they found something that I could buy at Walgreen's that feels "kind of like X." Gee, I love X, so I'm definitely going to try this new shit - especially if it's legal and cheap!

"Cough and Cold" medicine for "people with low blood pressure" is what I think the box read. How many do I take guys? the whole box? Sure! Sounds great!

We were eating at Chili's when it started to kick in. At first, it was kind of cool. I felt a little drowsy mentally and my balance wasn't perfect, but I was doing alright.

30 minutes later I could not even walk a foot without falling down. Everything was spinning. I was not nauseous, no... I was more like biblically fucked up. I was being driven around. I couldn't think straight and I was scared to death. I couldn't look at anything because my vision kept spinning out of control and there were tracers everywhere. I think I was whining about how I was not having a good time at all, but everyone was just laughing at how incredibly gone I was. I can not stress enough the fact that I could not form a single comprehensible thought in my head. I sware to god I had no idea where I was or even who I was with at the time.

Later I read all about dextromethorphan. At the time I probably weighed about 118, and a box of C&C has what, 16 pills? I don't know - I just know that it was horrible.

For all of you DXM fans out there, though, I did give it a second chance at a much lower dose (and another involuntary second chance when I tested this wierd looking tab out, but that's another story). I drank a bottle of Robitussin while, ironically, writing a report for political science about a law being passed to label medicine containing DXM with warnings. I'd have to say that it was a very intuitive experience at this lower dose. Very psychedelic and chill mentally. Of course no visuals or anything like that.
Interesting, though.
 
More curious, was it Corcidin C&C pills you took? It sounds like it. Those pills have a lot of shit that you dont want to take in high doses and will make absolutley sick. You need to find the gel pills of sryup with DXM as the ONLY active ingredient.

I dont think DXM is much like E at all.

I took the Corcidin pills before, my cousin said the same thing "feels like X" he said to take at least 12 for it to do anything so I did. I could not stand at all, I just laid in bed it was terrible I thought I was going to die. My heart and pulse slowed down. I wouldn't recommend taking coricidin.

Well if you ever try DXM again I'd suggest obviously never eating Coricidin again. RoboMaxStrenghCough (no Cold) is your best bet. If you drink a 4oz of that you should get some visuals, esp if you smoke pot around the 3 hour mark.
 
I've heard people compare LOW doses of DXM to a very very light mda trip. Any similarities?
 
also, if you're on a low to moderate dose of DXM, i've heard that laying back, chilling out and listening to your favorite music can be very euphoric, seems to bring out the opiates in the drug
 
its sounds like you took coricidin because the the synergy between the dxm and the antihistamine, which is very dangerous to abuse i might add, is kind of like x, in that you have alot of energy, you are much more social, unless you took just way too much, and your pupils are fucking huge, i would say even more than x honestly, the stuff is very dangerous, stay away from cough and cold and just do cough, that is only dxm like that moderator said-robitussin coughgels are the answer, which is nothing like x, -ofcourse dxm can be quite destructive by itself too if you do it on some consistent basis, i have been to detox for that shit- say no to coricidin,

DXM is an opiate? I have never found any kind of opiate relation with DXM, with music playing or not... I am very familiar with most opiates unfortunately, it is an ill part of myself now, which through pain treatment has taken me.

All I am saying, is that if this statement were true, I would be addicted to Tussin DM instead of getting pharms from my Dr. and there would be alot less people buying vicodin, oxyxontin and other opiates off the street. Just my thoughts... Please correct me if I am wrong though.

Please, do not take this offensively, I just think your comment was misleading.

DXM is not an opiate btw. if you try dxm again get the max strength 4oz bottle and an hour after you drink it, smoke a bowl then turn the lights out and toss on some Floyd and keep your eyes open. also, be careful with dxm, it can fuck you up mentally, trust me i know.
