I don't think we need to keep beating a dead horse. There is a fine line here which I want all users to walk (and which the BLUA requests) of not letting users dispense reckless advice. We all agree that the safest way to take DXM is to take nothing but that which containts purely DXM Hbr.

Since this is a Harm Minimisation board, that is the theory I would appreciate everyone promoting to first time and naive users, (please don't forget this is someone's thread you're hijacking). If you would like to further discuss any use of DXM and Chlorpheniramine Maleate, don't forget there are a myriad of other forums in which you can do so.

The bottom line is, I want discussion not arguments. It's a KISS principle, keep it clean or keep it out.
 
Chlorpheniramine Maleate also causes delerium in high doses tainting the DXM experience.
 
^^^ how does one "taint" a dxm experience. The experience itself is a giant mindfuck with no coordination. And dont dex heads love that?

I think what everyone is trying to say is that you would be safer using another form of DXM containing substance. Its harm minimisation. People have had a bad time with ccc so its only wise to advise others of these problems. I dont think anyone is trying to argue with you.

If I had only done DMX only that first time when I had 400 mg combined with the 500mg of anti-histamine(and not the common deadly one mind you) I might have possibly aggreed that I did not have a learning experience. Now since doing pure DXM HBr a number of times I would definatley dissagree... It's not a "fucked up" state that I seek to achieve with DXM tripping. I find it quite a learning experience and even find quite refreshing psychedelic type effects. I would go so far as to say a spiritual/insightful experience... not really sure how else to describe it because it was quite profound. Most commonly I find it an excellent aid for meditation/lucid dreaming as I find I can sit in the one spot completely comfortable and without thoughts for a long time. I can easily gaze into the expance of my mind without the usual problems of having to quiten rampent thoughts.... Also found once the early nausious feelings pass that exploring in the forest is great fun! Feels like I'm a child again re-experiencing what its like to be interesed in fun/beautiful things!

That's really good that you quickly learned that overdosing on anti-histamines while tripping on DXM is a bad idea. It's takes some people a while to figure that out.

Do you still think you'll never try DXM again? I think it's much, much better without the anti-histamines, it's pretty much a whole different experience.
 
Well, I'd just like to say that I DID have a bad experience regardless, and yes I do avoid DXM now .. im sure it's great and all, but I prefer the alcohol and marijuana effects better. Im not saying I almost died or anything, but the point of my post was to talk about the trip, and warn others that coricidin pills can be very unpleasant. Thanks to all those who commented on my report, though!
 
Coricidin's are really shitty its not even a high its like a journey pretty much. I rember 1day me and my friend took 2 pills of E when we camedown we drank a 40oz of beer then we took a box of Triple Cs-coricidin and man we were fucked but we had a big panic attack and we almost dyed with a heart attack both of us its was scary and never again im i doin Coricidins. Hope everyone else feels the same way.
 
everyone is all like "wow you took so much" but 8 coricidin is not much at all...8 CCC's equal 240 mg of DXM which is considered a low dose...the usual dose for getting fucked up is between 500-600...about a whole box plus a couple more...a high dose is around 800mg and anything too much more than that is considered dangerous...for me, 450 mg...which is 15 Coricidins, is just right. Your experience is odd...sounds like my strange reaction to pot...but Coricidin has always made me feel amazing.
 
You know what I can't stand. When me and a friend are heavily fuked up , and he/she decides they are going to sleep while I am still awake and messed up. And they are just as messed up as I am. If your gonna do something hang in there with your buddy. Thats fuked up. me and a g/f did DOC last weekend and about 8 hours in she kept nodding out, I woke her up every time she fell asleep. Oh and BTW did that coricidin make you feel like you had icy hot rubbed all over your skin. Like a burning sensation, I took coricidin once and it was by far the worst damn experience I have ever put myself through
