DXM & Concerta

i know that its probably not a good idea to do concerta at the same as dxm but what if someone stop taking concerta a few days before the dxm. the concerta is prescribed (54mg) daily. the dxm will probably be 350-400mg, is this safe?

Hi, welcome to PD and BL!

The half life of concerta is about 4 hours tops assuming no enzyme deficiency, say you wait 3 days which is 72 hours, divide by 4 yields 18 halflives. 54 x 1/2^(18) = 0.0002 mg which is of course very little. There is probably some build-up in your system but that is probably accounted or compensated for. So I'd say yea.
