An antihistamine which is Chlorphenamine/Chlorpheniramine and has SSRI properties....

So these links show that DXM + SSRI = Serotonin Syndrome, which is a known fact.
 
I thought that Chlorphenamine was only a really, really mild SSRI, so much so that it would barely matter? Is that inaccurate?

Or is DXM so prone to inducing serotonin syndrome that any tiny increase pushes it over?
 
I've taken large doses of DXM on multiple high-dose SSRIs and never had a problem. I guess everyone's different.
 
FWIW, I think DXM is an SRI itself. Maybe its other actions somehow potentiate that.
