(dxm) (benadryl) (cannabis) - Experienced - Panic Attack

so a couple months back he decided to do dxm with weed, he knows his shit so he bought Robitussin with just dxm in it as the only active ingredient, a bottle 20 pills 15mg each:D:D. mind you he has slowly worked up his from doses in order of 50, 80, 120, 150, 200, 250, then to 300 and then about 75 was his very last time. now the dose where he did 300mg was fucking insane because he did 50mg benedryl 300mg of dxm and about 2 bowls of some averageish weed nothing to dank here. moving on everything went according to how he planned it was moving into the second stage of dxm just fine with the benedrly compounding the affect ever so slighty. then he goes and smokes 2 bowls and things go down hill very fast ik he was having a panic attack one of a new caliber he managed to keep his stress down had a heart beat around 120 at the time swim normally sits at around 55-70 hes fairly fit so he could handle this things take an even harder turn about 20 mins from this panic attack and it was a very psychedelic experience lets just say when he closed his eyes he would see himself from a 3rd person view flashing in yellow and red he was sweating very much probably severely dehydrated at this point and when he managed to get a hold of himself and snap back he kinda blacked out he remembers trying to fight this urge of passing out his heart beat at this moment was 171-175 he managed to measure it with his galaxy s7 edge and his stress was near the end of the bar according to the app and he was laying on the floor petting his dog trying to chill out and relax he also felt extremely hot and this is when he passed out and he believes he had an ego death in which he saw himself from a like skyrim 3rd person view is the best way to describe it and was just kinda floating in space completely detached from reality it felt as if he had no worries like literally lost sense of time seconds felt like hours to days to months to years very bizarre he thinks he may have come close to death because he remember snapping out of the ego death and when he looked at his hands they were curling inwards and he couldn't control them everything looked very dark and depressing as if there was an impending doom he even excepted the fact that he was gonna die before the ego death such a crazy experience he felt like he was going insane nothing seemed normal to him. also have to add this he felt as if he could see through walls and his hands was very weird and he also puked about 4 times and had felt better after he finished puking also his vision was double and was zooming in an out slowly seeing very block patterns over his vision when he managed to get up.

so his question is what happend here the only conclusions he can draw is that he was having a very severe panic attack, but he wonders if there was more to it could this have been a seizure or something that could have been potentially deadly?? any type of feed back is appreciated and he realizes he has bad grammar 8)8)8)8)

50mg bendryl
300mg dxm
2 bowls of average bud
in that order and had taken the 50mg 40 mins prior to dosing the dxm then about and hour when he started peaking he smoked 2 bowls

You reached the final dissociative plateau.. It generally isn't fun, and can be quite the dysphoric experience.. I would try to aim for the 1st or 2nd plateau..

but how on so little of dxm? i thought the dose of dxm would have been much higher than that? was there anything that could have been life threatening about any of the symptoms i felt?

300mg is not a small dose, in fact it's a large dose. There's 4 plateau's, 300mg will get you to the 3rd plateau quite easily..

I didn't see anything that could have been life threatening..

300mg isn't a small dose and diphenhydramine and cannabis will increase the effects drastically.
Cannabis on it's own can cause panik attacks, throw in a deliriant (small dosage) and a dissoziative and your set for a panik attack, plus all drugs change your heart beat rate and cannabis on it's own can be hallucinogenic, add DXM and you'll trip your ass off.

As 7nos-SS373dOH said, I don't think it was life threatening.
Some people have a gene mutation making them trip off of small dosages of DXM, but you tried it more than once in different doses, so that shouldn't be the case here

okay thank you for the clarification, it was an amazing trip towards the end after i had managed to get out of the panic attack stage of it never gonna forget the trip.

Felt like this was more suitable for a trip report.
I can't imagine taking Benadryl along with DXM, Benadryl by itself is already horrible to me being an anti-histamine, it makes everything more zoned out and standstill around me.

Just remember to be careful on DXM; you can always take more but you can never take less. You dosed 300mg; my last three experiences consisted of at least 900mg.

Benadryl will increase the trip somewhat, so try to stick with just cannabis during your experience. The cannabis will relieve your trip anxiety and relax you, not to mention it's good for nausea if you have a sensitive stomach and decide to up your dose someday.

Agreed....drop the Benadryl and stick with the bud. Benadryl in itself is terrible, on top of you trying to mix it with a disassociative-like drug....

Sorry but 300mg will barely get you into the 2nd plateau, just wanted to throw that in there
