Hi, my query is this:
Right now i'm on a Zoloft treatment, 100mg/day, and i'm aware that SSRI and DXM is a no-no, so, for how long i have to be clear out of zoloft so have a safe DXM trip?

I'm an avid user of dxm, perhaps too avid. I have also been prescribed zoloft, prozac, celexa, and have taken various doses of dxm on all of them. You're worried about serotonin syndrome, right? I can't speak for your condition; I'll simply say it hasn't ever been a problem for me. I imagine some people are more prone to this occurring than others, but the general sense I get is that it's very rare.

If you do, try keep the dose low, (not condoning just telling my experience YMMV so be careful!) I was fine on 600mg with lexapro, but when I dosed 750mg I was so close to a seizure and had a horrible experience. I would advise against it.

The rule of thumb is AT LEAST two weeks off SSRIs before taking things like DXM, and I would personally recommend 3-4 weeks.

I can't answer your question because I have no idea.

But I would love to hear about your experience with Zoloft.
Is it working for you?
Any sides?
Has it been worth it?

I haven't been on it for very long , and definitely works well, find myself singing all the time, as far as side effects, sexual dysfunction would be the only one I am experiencing (Although they say it can be good for premature ejaculation lol) so may be a blessing

Definitely worth it but everybody reacts differently to antidepressants i guess

Everyone that I know personally that has tried Zoloft all talk positively about it.

Zoloft and Busbar are my jam. Both have made excellent improvements in my life. I think clear and the heavy exhaling has stopped.

I wish I found these drugs earlier because I would have gotten more things done and my goals are easier to reach & accomplish.

I did lots of DXM while being on venlafaxine and never had ill effects BUT I read from at least one poor soul who died from the same combo, and at lower dosages than I did. So be very careful and titrate slowly if you decide to mix. When you titrate there will be warning signs like headaches, frequent yawning (as a way to cool the brain), hyperthermia, restlessness, dysphoria.

DXM has never appealed to me as way to catch a buzz. Seems a lot of people like it for that reason. It has never increased the effects of opioids for me.

When I was a kid, I thought it was the best cough medicine. Now I would rather have Promethazine/ Codeine or Hydrocodone/guaf. cough medicines.

what were the doses you did on each of the SSRI's and the DXM doses you combined them with? I would imagine best practice would be to slowly up the dosage on the DXM side of things and stop once you get some kind of warning signs.
