Opioids DXM and tolerance

what dose of dxm do you have to take with your opiate to help tolerance not arise? and is it opiate dose specific? like if i take 80 mg of oxycodone am i gonna need more dxm to counter the tolerance level? the only reason im asking is because i have an already high tolerance and ive heard mixed reports on whether DXM just helps prevent tolerance OR it can help it go down. Id just like some fact on the topic. excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject.

you typically use the same amount of dxm unless you want the dxm to overpower the opiate high. I always use 30mg. Anymore and I feel like it takes away from the opiate experience.

I hate to be a "use the search engine" Nazi but seriously, this topic has come up several times in the last week.

This has been asked a lot - most of the discussion is wildly speculative and the only substantiation that we have that this MIGHT work is RAT STUDIES. Most people who have seriously tried this long term were not using all that frequently so they're tolerance might not have risen substantially anyway, or they abandoned this because it did fuck all.
