Misc DXM and sleepiness??

Yo, so in the last 3 days i've had 6 hours sleep and today I found robitussin dry cough forte in the medicine cabinet and want to drink it. Is it going to make me fall asleep and waste the trip?... Also is cocaine and dxm safe?

DXM and Cocaine mix is not safe, both have serotonin reuptake inhibitor activity.

DXM by it self may cause sleepiness but for me it does the opposite.

I usually feel a wave of tiredness from DXM and as it peaks I become stimulated. If I'm laying down it can be very hard to stay awake during that time.

I would advise against combining it with coke.

I cant sleep on DXM at all and no coke.

DXM just wakes me up and keeps me restless even at pharmaceutical doses(15-30 mgs).

Try diphenhydramine(benadryl) or melatonin. Both should be found at your local pharmacy or grocery store for legal purchase.

^I think he's trying to not fall asleep on DXM as opposed to using DXM to make him go to sleep.

I normally can't sleep while under the influence of DXM. It is somewhat stimulating but not so stimulating that it will completely mask the feeling of fatigue so if you're already sleep deprived the trip may not be as enjoyable. Try some coffee if you have trouble staying awake. Hardcore stimulants like coke and speed will be uncomfortable at best combined with dxm so I recommend against that.

Call me crazy but I prefer my euphoria when I'm well rested. Even if I take stimulants.

To each their own though. If you're high on coke then I don't see much reason to take other meds to keep you awake since cocaine is one of the most potent ones.
