DXM and not being able to sweat, working out

I've read that DXM can prevent one from sweating while under its influence. How long after taking DXM does the body begin to safely sweat like normal? I ask this because I am supposed to go to the gym today, but last night I did a moderate 500 mg. dose of DXM. Obviously people shouldn't work out while under the influence. I am completely sober now, but I want to make sure my body doesn't overheat at the gym later. Should I be okay? How long does it take for your body's cooling system to return to normal after a dose?
