Dxm and Klonopin question

I took 2mg of klonopin yesterday, and 1mg really early this morning.

First of all, I am aware that Klonopin kinda attenuates the dxm trip. Well what I am wanting to do is take 800mg dxm (two zicam max cough) with some pot.

Will the Klonopin react with with the dxm this long after dosage? It is now 2:36pm where I'm at... I'm thinking I wouldn't trip untill tonight. So does anyone here know what will happen?

Am I looking at a dampened DXM trip?
 
Klonopin has a half life almost as long as valium (over 24 hours for some metabolites). I wouldnt worry about dampening effect more than a synergistic effect, it might cause you to black out or have a choppier memory in combination with the dxm. I've seen people drink moderate amounts and use dxm and blackout entirely, so its possible.

So does this mean that the kpins will continue their effect on the brain after a 24 hour period or is the metabolites all that is left?
I'm well aware of the Klonopin half life. I thought benzos terminate dxm trips.
 
You will be fine. I have used them together many times and have had no negative interactions. The half life just means that half of the amount of a certain drug that was taken and its metabolites are completely metabolized and have left the body. If you took 2mg of Klonopin and its half-life was 24hrs, after the 24hr mark there would be approx. 1mg of Klonopin left in your system.

So this leads me into my next question. What kind of an effect does clonazepam have on the dxm experience? Thank you for the answers

If it had any affect, it would just make your memory fuzzier and dampen the trip. I personally would wait until the benzo wore off completely. They are recommended for aborting a psychedelic trip, be it DXM or LSD so all that one would notice is a decrease in the interesting effects.

That's exactly what I suspected.

Question is, how long after I have taken my last benzo should I wait to trip?
 
The effects have worn off. Thank you very much for your replies, if I can sell off my stash I can get some money for zicam and trip for the first in a long while.
 
Yes I do have a weird taste in drugs. BUT let me relieve you all, I did not sell my stash of Klonopins for dxm. I found an alternative method of getting my cough syrup.
I'm tripping off of two bottles of family dollar long lasting cough (orange) TOLERANCE IS DOWN having a good time, except my gf puked out of her ears, trying to find out of she'll be ok....?!?!

Ok, trips mostly over. I tripped last nigt, smoked a good amount of pot, and had a blast. I took 2 kpins (.0.5mg) before going to bed. Trips pretty much over.
Now I feel hot, heart rate is slightly elevated (98bpm) Blood pressure is at 140/90 (avg is 120/80 for me.) I think I'm fine though, must be anxiety.
 
IT basically felt like a very light second plateau trip on it's own... the pot made it feel like a mid second with a "weedish" feel. It was a fucking blast though. Got me some trippy CEVS
