DXM and AVATAR

DXM doesn't seem like such a bad idea, just depends on the dose.

LSD and crowds don't really mix either.

I'm going to make a thread called Heroin and Harry Potter.

I haven't had a problem with LSD and crowds/large amount of people my self. Everyone is different.

ive snorted ketamine in the cinema with people in it before, you just got make sure youve got the k as fluffy as possible and put in in a snap bag open and snort with tube/straw/note.
Just dont act blatent or sketchy and no one will notice.

good experience i did it when watching gone in 60 seconds and it felt awesome tbh felt as if i was actually in the movie and could really feel the power of the cars.

DXM is a shitty dissociative whose negative effects outweigh the positive ones.

There are heaps of negative effects for me that are stronger than those of most psychs (Robo walk, weird feeling skin, the usual need to puke badly), but the mental plane that a 3rd or 4th used to put me on has been yet to be matched by any other single drug I have tried alone. YMMV, but DXM has consistently kicked my mind's ass in a way I personally enjoy moreso than any trypt, phen, or other dissociative ever has.

Speaking about combos, LSDXM is the only thing that will put me out further than DXM. (The first time I tried this led to the most psychedelic, lost from my body, stunningly mentally creative, dissociated, and yet terriying moments I have experienced in my life.)

Dxm makes everything look somewhat flat, and life-less IME.
And would disjoint and fuzz/blur the memory of the movie, It ruined the first time I watched trainspotting, I had to watch it again the next day cause I could only remember the ending .

So I'd say use something else for Avatar, something that would enhance the 3Dness.

Dxm is better for fucking around on the street or at raves and shituff, not really movies unless you've seen it already.
I can understand wanting to do everything on dxm, but most of it turns out to be a waste of time, besides the few really fun/exciting things that don't.

DXM is not comparable to LSD or mushrooms. It is completely different. It is a dissociative and therefore more comparable to ketamine. It is an entirely different experience.

I would agree that tryptamines like LSD are quite superior but dissociatives (DXM included) have very interesting effects on spatial perception and at high doses can be give incredibly immersive visual and tactile perceptions (especially in combination with other psychedelics like LSD or mushrooms). DXM may be worth a try if you cannot get any ketamine but after a few goes with it I lost all interest really. EVen after a few experiences eve thinking about ingesting that stuff makes me queasy. It just makes me feel like shit for much of it and the effects are not worth that. Ketamine is very much a superior drug so if you have access to that your aren't missing much by not trying DXM IMO.

Also, more on topic. DXM in a movie theater or anywhere in public sounds absolutely horrible to me.

You could apply your logic to morphine or heroin. You could say "Well, I tried it a couple of times and it made me sick so clearly that is what the drug does and will always do and therefore it is a shitty drug." But in reality opiates only fuck with you like that when you meet them for the first time and then, like with DXM, your body/mind becomes used to the transition and it ceases to be unpleasant.

I get you now, that comparison with opiates makes sense, having gone through that with opiates myself and feeling ill the first couple times then eventually feeling no sickness and just the positive effects.

I only tried DXM a couple times and I was sick for most of the experience, threw up alot. Never dosed higher then 600mg, but in terms of the positives I did have that weird/disconnected feeling from reality. Visually I didn't have any OEVs but my vision would 'trail' if that makes sense, like I would look ahead then as I'd turn my head the prior image in my brain would have to 'catch up' to what I was now looking at making my vision like a really old film where each photograph was a second or so apart making the film appear fragmented, though thats not really the right word, but I'm not sure how else to describe it. I'm sure you would understand though. The visual 'trailing' was very different to that of psychedelics like LSD, where the trails occur in a more flowing manner.

I'd have strange thoughts no doubt due to the weird and disconnected/disassociated aspect to it aswell. And alongside all that I had this sort of drunk, giddy euphoria which was decent. Obviously I also felt the changes in depth perception and robo-walk effect, which made walking downstairs difficult but it all just seemed funny at the time. Nothing profound or incredible was experienced though, and by the way alot of people seem to describe the 3rd and 4th plateaus I guess I never brokethrough to those levels.

But having said all that, the nausea and vomiting was heavy and lasted throughout the experience, though I do have a naturally weak stomach which would have added to it. Also drinking the what felt like a large amount of foul tasting cough syrup didn't make it worthwhile. Especially when other drugs I would prefer to spend my money on are/were available.
