DXM 300MG - What Gives?

Exactly 2 hours ago I ingested 20 15mg Robotussin HBr Gelcaps. This is my first time experimenting with DXM other than last night when I tried a 90mg dose to be sure I was not allergic. I feel absolutely no effects whatsoever other than my body is itchy. No loss of motor, language, or any other skills at all. What gives? I am not on any other drug, other than smoking cigarettes. I took them on a relatively empty stomach, with lemonade. Is it possible it just hasn't kicked in, or am I enzyme deficient? I heard that it is the same enzyme that codeine uses so I must also note that I never really did have any enjoyable times while taking codeine or morphine, although oxycodone, hydrocodone and heroin all work fine for me.

But its +2:00 into this and all I feel is itchy. What gives? :o
 
in my experience sometimes gels don't work too well on an empty stomach. i would say try eating something lightish (i always use toast with margerine or olive oil) and drink a big glass of water with it and see what happens. but then that was an hour and a half ago and maybe your trip has already kicked in all on its own!

but yeah, anyway, gels can take a real long time to kick in. and i'm not a moderator but this probably should have been in the big and dandy DXM thread. :)
 
If you were enzyme deficient you would be having the opposite problem I believe.

DXM does take awhile to kick, but 2 hours seems like quite a long time ime. All you can do it wait it out and see what happens.
 
now coming up on +4:00 and im noticing a loss of motor skills, starting to get a little lightheaded with a heavy feeling. still not tripping per se. thanks for the responses, and merge this if you need to. I'm usually an OD'er.
 
Trazadone is an SSRI, right? I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to take SSRIs on DXM, I wouldn't risk it. Got any benadryl? That usually does the trick for me.

300mg is a pretty light dose, and is more akin to alcohol than a trip for me. The enjoyable effects come out much better with weed.
 
yeah shit gets better around the 600 mg range, that is if 300 is too low for you
