Dutch conceptual artist Diddo has sculpted a skull out of street cocaine in a new project exploring human behaviour. With commissions from Kanye West, Lady Gaga and Sacha Baron Cohen, the 36-year-old artist is now attempting to break new ground in the art world. "Ecce Animal" is intended to provoke the viewer's thoughts about the nature of man, without glamorising drug addiction or warning against it. Diddo had the powder tested in a laboratory to determine its 15 to 20 per cent purity. He chose to use the drug mainly because it complements his artistic message.

The artist should do 2 follow up ones, one in black tar heroin, and another in brown hashish, just to keep it all cool with all the races and colours etc.
 
If it was me, I'd have kept most of the coke, and added just enough benzocaine to call it "cocaine"....

Bet there was a lot of that street coke flying around his studio to make for a really fun afternoon or two.
 
Yeah, mine would start as a head, then a head with a hole in it, give it a week, the thing would probably just be a set of teeth...or just the one tooth, considering past binges. All I can say is: the artist is getting ripped off with terrible coke, he's loaded enough to buy large amounts of said coke (that thing must weigh 250 G's at least if it's life-sized), and who the hell could sell a piece of art made of cocaine?
 
Is shatter the pure thc extract, by any chance?

Edit: seen those pics; it looks cool...I can see why it gets the name shatter now. So, it's like a glass-like resin? Btw I've never seen it in the UK, at least in my town.
