duregesic patch

I was fortunate to score a duregesic (fentynal) patch last night, the thing is the onset takes 6 to 12 hours to kick in. Does anyone know of a way to kick it in quicker? or can this patch be used in pieces as not to use the whole thing at once? Any info would be GREATLY appreciated, I've read this board for a little while now, and alot of you seem quite knowledgable, please help a brother out.

You didn't read the "real" instructions for getting the most out of that patch -
1) Shave the area where you will apply it, the arm is a good choice, I have also found the small of your back works good, for the truely hardcore, go for the neck.. by shave the area I simply mean take a razor over it, you're not shaving the hair off, you're just shaving to open yer pores up..
2) Apply the patch, now, these things don't stay on for shit, if you have a bunch of 'em you can call Jansen and they will send you a patch that goes over it and holds it in, these, however, do NOT come off - I recomend you go get one of those big band-aid patch things and cover it with that..
3) Rub it a little! This gets the good shit going..
You will be fealing it in less then an hour..
Some things you do NOT DO - and remember, this is comming from a junkie, I know it's not "hip" to "follow the rules" but this could save yer life!
Do NOT cut those patches open! There is enough fentanyl in there to kill you several times over.. you can pull the patch off if you want to save it for later, but do NOT cut them open!
Also, do NOT get it wet..
There is doing shit to boost the high, then there is fucking up and pumping in a whopping dose of fentanyl that will just knock you out, maybe kill you..

Somehow, i knew you would be the kid to reply dog! Anyway check this shit out, me and my boy rolled friday night, and me being an unexperienced "patch user" i guess, opened the paper pouch and stuck it on our sides, thinking; fuck yeah, dog I,m gonna be high as hell when I wake up. the problem though after, fucking with this patch all night(your right, the shit doesn't stick worth a fuck!) so after 6 or 8 hours of wearing this patch covered with blues clues band-aids, i discovered that i didn't peel back the plastic layer! I went damn! dog! it's like i've been on that new drug called "stupid" right? so my question now, is what would be the difference in cutting the patch open as to peeling it open? It still just exposes the "goo" right? Anyway I've taken it to the body and rubbed the shit all over me. will i die? probably not, like you phreeX, (if your for real dog, not saying that you aren't) then you should also understand that there is no way in hell it can be as stronger, longer, and more intense as taking a spike of tar. for real though, i've got claim on four more of these patches,is it worth it? I'll let you know in the later morning.

I wouldn't cut that shit open. There's enough fentanyl in there to make you OD if you get enough of it. That's why it's meant to be released slowly over time. Don't kill yourself.
 
Heat also causes the patch to release more than its supposed to. So if you had a hefty tolerance, maybe you could put a heating pad over the patch for a while. But a toxic amount could be released so be careful.
