hey guys so heres the deal I broke myneck 5 years ago. I had a rather succesful surgery up til recently when I happened to fall in the bathroom. I have been on hydrocodone 7.5 mg for about 2 weeks taking 6 pills daily, however this is not even beginning to remedy my pain I happened to find a duragesic matrix patch 50mcg/h and i am curious how I should use it, is it possible to cut it into 4 12.5 mcg/h pieces and see if that relieves my pain. I certainly would not want to o.d. I weight about 190lbs and have a bit of a gut, other than that pretty lean. any help would be greatly appreciated, let me clarify, cut into 4 equal pieces and apply them each individually 1 every three days.
In the past, prior to my surgery i was taking approx 80 mg of Oxycodone daily. since the surgery I have been taking 200 mg of Tramadol for the last years until the recent bathroom fiasco. So what i guess im asking is there anyway to cut the matrix patch into 4ths or 5ths to rememdy my pain. i am truly not trying to get high off it, but from all the other posts i have read they dont really address this issue thoroughly enough for me to risk it. i cant get into a Dr as i have no insurance so i have been E.R. hopping for the last 2 weeks.

Your "Goat" should be carefully.

Fentanyl is extremely potent, and with your goats low tolerance, overdose is possible. If you're goat is in a lot of pain, and the hydrocodone isn't cutting it, maybey the goat should go and see his vet to try and get a prescription for something stronger like morphine or oxycodone. Other than that, I don't know much about animal interactions with opioid painkillers, so maybey someone else who's more schooled in veterinarian pain management can take over..
 
These are people drugs, why is your goat getting such potent narcotics? Why do you have a goat? What was your goat doing in the bathroom?
 
We don't use "my goat" "swim" "my best friends cousin" or anything like that here on bluelight. Edit your post and use I instead, everyone knows it is you and not your goat.
 
Thanks for editing your post and welcome to bluelight. To answer your question, yes you can cut the fentanyl patch into smaller pieces to help with your pain.
 
I would cut that thing into fifths if I were you. All the opioid conversion charts were giving me really different numbers, but one thing is for sure, fentanyl is a shit load stronger than hydrocodone. Me and some friends evaporated a 25mcg fentanyl patch and cut it into eight lines. I got insanely high, I thought I might OD, and I was using a good amount of heroin at the time too, so I had a tolerance.

Also, make sure not to decide to put on another piece of the patch if it doesn't seem to be working after a few hours. I would go a full day and see how you're feeling by the end of it before deciding to up you're dosage. Good luck, and be safe. And sorry about the goat thing, Im just bored and I found it amusing.
