A US waitress was left stunned after a couple left her a tipping envelop filled with crystal meth.
Ryan Bensen, 40, and Erica Manley, 37, had dinner and drinks at the Twisted Fish Steakhouse in Oregon on Thursday night.

When it came time to pay their bill the couple used a gift card and as a tip they handed their waitress an envelop with a question mark scribbled on it.
Inside was a stash of crystal meth, OregonLive reports.

“She was like ‘Whoa - what the …?’” said Steve Keszler, a manager at the downtown steakhouse. “We’re not a little dive bar or hole in the wall. We’re a classy place.”
The waitress walked calmly away and called the police.

Bensen and Manley were still at the restaurant when authorities arrived and found almost half a kilogram of meth in Manley’s purse.
“While I should be shocked and surprised, it’s just another example of how dumb these users and dealers are,” Seaside Police Chief Robert Gross said. “The whole thing almost made me chuckle.”

Police later searched the nearby Holiday Inn Express, where the couple had been staying and discovered a meth lab comprising a small torch, batteries and other items.
Benson was charged with possession and manufacturing methamphetamine, while Manley was charged with possessing, delivering and manufacturing meth.

Just a little bit of perso meth.

Hardly anyone tips here, especially not with ice. lol.

^ I am with you, numbers. She could have seen it as a kind but maybe misdirected gesture. It need not have been offensive.

Sheer anti-drug bias here. Drugs are not classy or un-classy. They are simply drugs.

I once tipped a pizza delivery guy by letting him smoke some weed.
And when I was visiting Canada, I had some amazing weed, but was leaving the country the next day, so I put a big nugget in a street performer's hand as a tip. Probably 1.5 grams of one-hit BC bud. He looked very, very happy=D

^Yeah Slim-V, but we're talking about meth here, which isn't necessarily exclusive to scum-bags, but is definitely strongly associated with unsavory characters!

If it had been a more divey place, the waitress might have been skipping away with a big smile on her face! Still, not a chance I would take with a complete stranger...especially at a "normal" restaurant!

At least they were eating food!

shit if it would have been a waffle house in my areas the waitress would have been fuck this is all they gave me lol

Really dumb tho, I mean she had half a kilo on her and they had a meth lab going at the place they were staying, way to be discrete. They must have been tweeked out of their brains.

if only they were European they would have gotten away with it
I'd give him more respect if when they got arrested he pleaded "but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night!"

An idiotic move unfortunate they'll now be in prison for posssion and manufacturing meth.

I bet they were spun out of their minds, and who the fuck carries half a kilo of meth on them?

Could have atleast got rid of the lab equipment in the hotel room.

First the guy in Thailand, now this. What is it about methamphetamine that makes people want to give it out as a gift to strangers? =D

WTF I can't believe she had that much weight on her & they did this on top.

What a bitch waitress, though I was on the bus once & heard a street musician talk about getting tipped in pills frequently lol, but he's in recovery so he just tosses them ;__;
