I take 70mg Vyvanse daily. It has always helped me a lot. Lately I've been feeling that something was lacking. I remembered in the past how a psyche doctor put me on an amphetamine(I don't remember) and an ssri(I don't remember which one). The combination felt great. Anyway, I had a bottle of Cymbalta lying around and not realizing it was an snri, I took 15mg to start, because I didn't know what effect it would produce.
After I took the 15mg, I took my regular Vyvanse dose. Well about 1.5 hours later, I felt great. It totally synergized with the Vyvanse. I had more color in my vision, I was happy, relaxed and focused. Over the next 6 hours, I consumed the other 15 mg of Cymbalta. Over all great combination. It added what I feel I needed.
I know Cymbalta is a snri and according to Wikipedia "Duloxetine increases Dopamine(DA)specifically in the prefrontal cortex where there are few DA reuptake pumps via the inhibition of NE reuptake pumps(NET) thus allowing greater diffusion of DA in this brain region".
What does anybody think ? I really don't care for ssri's, snri's etc, but it made me feel great. I only plan on taking 15 mg's at a time, but if all goes well, I might take it to 30mg's. Any thoughts or suggestions?
