Hardstyle and Dubstep mixed...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5-MX0BzaSU

On Headhunterz latest album Studio Sessions. Dubstep has been taking over the party scene lately and I think if merged with Hardstyle it has some really good potential. Two hard hitting party/rave style genres mixed together...I think some really amazing stuff can come out of this.

thoughts?

It sounded infinitely better than any dubstep I've heard and yes I've noticed the phenomenon of dubstep gaining popularity on the scene...

Just when I thought electronic music couldn't get any worse. I thought that laptop orchestra shit took the cake, but THIS... man.

wow, I really laughed out loud at that... I knew you were going to come in here and say something like that!

As far as the track, I find it utterly horrible........ sub par dubstep tracks blow this out of the water.....this is the definition of CHEESE i'm sure some kids new to the rave scene that are into (happy hardcore/progressive house) would get into this.....but that's about it, any experienced EMD head would most likely not touch this with a ten foot stick. And if this thread is about this one specific track we have a recommend new tunes to people thread, if this is discussion surrounding the artist this post is fine where it belongs.... I'm going to leave it here to see what discussion is generated.

wow, it's like darude and rusko jacking each other off at the jersey shore :|

i'm going to pretend you didn't just lump progressive house in with happy hardcore.
you and roose are both about -this- close to making it onto my ignore list right now, haha ;)

not sure what to make of that tbh. would be better if they didnt use the voodoo people sample. it could have potential though if it wasn't so cheesy

Well... it's better than hardstyle, at least.

I wish the DJ/radio host would shut their mouth so I can listen to it without interruption.

This is god awful... the DJ sounds like an idiot and the music sounds is cheesy it isn't even funny. When I thought it couldn't get any worse, then the electronic folk breakdown part came in... dear god. Where the fuck is this garbage popular?

it combines everything about dubstep and hardstyle i don't like.

what about doing it the other way round and taking the laid-back-ness and lack of cheese of dubstep and put a hardstyle beat under it? (and maybe add some dub like psychedelic delay effects on the top).

Parts of it are moving.

But I think hardstyle ( if this represents it ) is corny.

It's not bad, but there's people doing this stuff already, and in a much better fashion.
Oh, wait, the Hardstyle element comes in later and takes it over... Sounds cack now (to my ears ofcourse, I know there's fans of Hardonstyle out there ;) :D )
And I agree, the "MC" sounds like a tool....

Also, that sample about sounds evolving and it becoming perfection etc. just makes the whole tune have a massively pretentious air about it.

For crappy bitching intended for humour purposes open this:

I do think they misunderstand the concepts of the words "style", "evolution" and "perfection" though :p =D

Onleh messin' yeh =D
