Dubstep

I don't use MDMA anymore, but Dubstep on LSD or K is filthy as grime.

Problem i do find is there's alot of horrible Dubstep that people often instantly associate the genre with, Excision/Datsik have some sweet tracks. I honestly couldn't get into the genre after been a huge darkpsy fan which are complete opposite's in what they symbolize, but after hearing it on some LSD.. my view on it was changed completley ;)

I know people who do not attend bassnectar on less than a 10 strip.....

Bassnectar is good for the most part, i dislike his more hip hopish stuff but i like it more than i like typical hip hop....

Here guy's.. Let me show you the REAL kind of DUBSTEP even though it's called DUBFIRE it will make you cream in you're ears listen to the whole song and post on how you like it xD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZfolwkZ26k

This is ... not dubstep. Very little about it bears any resemblance to dubstep at all. I mean, I like it, it's very cool music, I'll dance my ass off to it if I ever hear it at a party ... but it's not even close to dubstep. This is closer to deep house than it is to dubstep.

This is dubstep: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0oDCdjQBrU

Note the slowed-down drum beat and the dub bassline that starts wobbling halfway through.

I got mixed feelings, Dubstep started to grow on me when i started to hear it more and more in european graffiti DvDs, but at first i hated it. I just have 1200 dubstep songs and most of em are pretty dope and i agree with most of you proper dubstep like caspa, datsik, rusko, Cookie Monsta, and a few others are good. But like mentioned above by someone, you wouldnt catch me listing to this rolln at a rave, no way no how. DnB at raves just bugs the hell outta me and im sure this would too. I think its sic tho listn to while gaming or havn sex or what have you but personally i dont think dubstep & rolling/raving = up. Im sure some nasty dutty wobbles would melt my face off, but i prefer good ol trance euphoria and light shows to melt my face off

On the other hand i think hardstyle is cool as fuck while rolln! ahaha id much rather listn to that while rolln than dub

also, for more about our music tastes and such, blue light has a last.fm group: http://www.last.fm/group/Bluelight.ru

Dubstep and ketamine go hand in hand, not mdma. I usually roll at drum and bass parties... try Originial Sin, High Contrast, Ed Rush and Optical, Evol Intent, Spor, Teebee, Sub Focus... to name a few.

I've never understood people who tie music to a particular drug. I love glitch-hop, dubstep and other bass music, hence I love them rolling, on k, weed, dose, drunk, sober, whatever.

I have nothing but utter contempt for hardstyle and trance, and i dont enjoy that music no matter how fucked up i am. but if thats your fix, then by all means, get it

to each their own

Makes me laugh that some of you are calling Rusko, Caspa and Datsik 'proper' Dubstep. Most of them play the uglier side of the genre thats emerged over the last year or so (altho Rusko had some good releases a few years back). It's gotten all smashy and metallic with ridiculous noises and wobbles. That's not Dubstep, and I'm afraid to say it seems all to popular with the American audience in particular.

Look up the likes of DMZ, Coki, Emalkay, Cotti, Radikal Guru, Hatcha, Skream, Headhunter for the 'original' Dubstep sound. The sound that emerged from UK Grime & Garage rather than the Hip-Hop orientated stuff thats come out lately. It's a lot more chill with dubby undertones, and of course phat deep heavy sub-bass that rocks your chest cavity.

I like to listen to DUBSTEP all the time! Rolling, on K, acid... Sober. Whatever.

I love BASS <3

Look up:

JOKER, GEMMY, SILKIE (sp?), 501, datsik, fulxpavilion, Slugabed.

There are so many types of dubstep, There is dark heavy dubstep, reggae orientated, really electronic video game sounding shit, hip-hop stuff, even reall cool classical music mixed in with heavy dubstep basslines....

Noooooo...

I'm a hardcore DNB fan and local DJ ;)

90% of dubstep (imo) is terrible, there's a few good tunes but the majority sound like a bag of hammers.

I think that the rave culture reflects whatever substances are in vogue at the time. Dubstep is music for ketheads!

I love dubstep, someone sent me this... made me lol.
