I've been listening to some Monolake (excellent stuff, btw) and I'd say it's more on the ambient . While Dub Techno is relatively 'chill', you can still always hear the Techno influences. Monolake often sounds like pure ambient with Techno influences. Not that this will stop you from enjoying their music. :D
