how do you guys do it?? I started the limonene method and since it uses dried cactus and i had fresh i blended it up, spread the goo on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at 190 for a few hours till it was dry then scraped it all off. I keep reading that mescaline is stable to around 300F so im assuming(hoping) this didnt degrade it.

Any better methods or tips?

also im assuming if i put a bunch of cacti powder in a ziplock bag and store it somewhere dark it should be good for a long time

As long as you don't mind taking a lot of time, here is the best way in my opinion...

Instead of blending the cactus, once you've skinned it leave it in a pan in front of a fan. I kept it out of sunlight and out of heat. It was all dry within two days.

When you add your hydrated lime to the dried powder, put it back in the coffee grinder so that you get a nice homogeneous mixture.

Add waaaay less water than you think you need. 300ml is too much.

Let each limonene pull soak overnight and stir it as much as you can.

When you add your vinegar, if you get a crazy emulsification that will not clear in an hour or two of sitting, add some more vinegar. It will then clear much easier.

It takes about a week to do it with this method, but the yield is well worth it. My M.O. was simply to avoid heat at all costs and it seemed to work very well.

cool thanks. What did your final product look like? When i separated the vinegar it was kind of cloudy, but i let a little limonene out with it so its dried kinda of clear yellowish, not at all like the brown goop ive seen posted in the thread on dmtnexus.

I had beautiful white crystals all over my drying pan that turned yellow-tinted when scraped up with a razor. My vinegar was cloudy but not milky-white or anything.

Next time I say you add a little more vinegar and try not to drop out any limonene into your pan. It won't hurt you but it makes the product weigh much heavier IME. I thought I had 300mgs of alkaloid acetate but it was really much less thanks to some dried d-limo.

I think the reason those guys at the nexus get so much goop is because they dry everything in the oven or a food dehydrator... just a guess though.

Is there a site that explains your process in more detail.

I've always just dried the good part of the catus coffee ground it and gel caped it.

Cheers

yeah just search for the mescaline extraction thread and the first post has a link for a food safe d-limonene procedure. Its really easy actually

@ Toltec:

I recommend that you find the original thread for this technique, which is posted at the DMT Nexus. It has been modified slightly over time.

IMO, it is well worth the time. Fifty-plus gelcaps become one single little capsule and you might still get nauseous, but it's not as bad.
