Don't really wanna get into the whole clown-step and sub-genre discussion but i wouldn't say GP plays much clown-step in his sets. He likes his liquid rollers and throws in some jump-up tunes for some good measure to be dance-floor friendly. Altho i've heard a fairly hard GP set in his days. All depends where he's playing and the crowd i guess
 
astro - I wouldnt say Andy gives you what is most current in dnb, perhaps his own VIPs/remixes but those are generally of popular tunes anyway..

I think he definitely has the skills to show up any other dnb DJ, but his Ram Records trash-step tracklistings need to be freshened up.

Andy, please please just throw out X Ray. For all of us from yesterday.
 
^It might be one of a few but what about Noisia - Facade/ Noisia & Mayhem - Moonway Renegade released on Ram Records? Moonway Renegade is a killer tune. Definately not jump-up or clown-step.

Andy gets the latest dubs in the scene. It might not be the most techiest, hardest, darkest tune in DnB. But he works with what he has access to. Whats not current about that?

Yeah he's still in Perth...the nine stopped awhile back because the club closed down. But it looks like they've found a new club so should be up and running again.

Where bouts you moved to? I've moved about a month ago to Sydney and the scene here is pretty dismal. Looking forward to some big names coming here in the next few months i.e Phace!

heh i am in brisbane but am moving back to perth 4 a while, just to have a holiday lol

and work at the same time, then move somewhere more in line with my music interests, not to say that the music is bad here or anything. I like the bands more than the electronic music they have here.

Perth had wicked drumnbass but from what ive read concerning the music there was that there had been a big crackdown on drum and bass in general. I dont know what clubs r still operational;...

Yeah Heat has turned to shit because of the management. The promoters haven't really found a new venue for the home of DnB in Perth. But Loaded Dice have been holding gigs at The Rosemount of late which i think should be a regular things coz the system absolutely farkin pounds there. And its a good place to hold events. Apart from that i think trafik are holding a gig in Leederville somewhere. So who know's the future of where DnB events are gonna be held. But i'm sure things will pick up again soon.
