Anyone digging the electro/rock sound in dnb as of late? I'm loving the tunes John B has been making more recently. :D Please check out my latest dnb mix as a lot of the tunes are along those lines. I posted up a link and tracklist in the dj mixes thread in this forum. My label mates have also been making some dope tunes more rock focused if anyone is interested in hearing those....

LOL where have you been the last 3 years then? I like to think of drum and bass as one of the few genres where you can incorporate almost anything and it sounds hawt. The electrostep John B and Queensyze have been making is tops in my book.

The mix is just plain old Neurofunk.

Made the Dubstep remark to see if it would start a flame-war as usual, but the hate seems to be directed towards electro here.
The only good thing about one-track people is they hook u up with the best mixes. They merge their identity with a music genre and start a cult-thing that will go to war with any other genre. Found my best mixes in genre vs genre flamewars.

e.g. : for good Dubstep mixes go to the please stfu about Dubstep thread on DOA.

Cool thanks, I will check this out too. I could care less what sonicnature thinks, he's apparently clueless, narrowminded and wanting to pick a fight that no one will win about the state of dnb... Its all relative and I'm the bigger person to back down instead of wasting my time. 8)

I'm one to see the drum and bass evolve as its one of the few that has taken different directions the last few years, where house is stagnant, aside from the electro incorporation there too. I'm excited to not hear the same old techstep shit, but incorporation of new sounds is delightful, otherwise I really feel it will die out like the rave scene has over the past 4 years.

You should check out the remix my crew mate, Jay Cynik did for BC, I can send it to anyone if they're interested, has a slight rock feel to it. It made the top ten downloads on Beatport for the first 3 weeks in its release, and still doing REALLY well.
