Damn that typo in the title. :D

Anyhow,

Clearly, if anyone was to take five tabs at school whilst trying to gain anything from the five lessons they must sit in, they're going to get anything that their teacher/lecturer wants them to learn.

That isn't the point of this thread though. As we see in sports, we see athletes try and push the boundaries as much as they can to get their body to the limit of what it can reach in order to achieve the success they desire. Could this be applied to brain, the way we learn and illegal drugs? Now, I'm not exactly talking about drugs with the aim of achieving said results, but can drugs such as low dose LSD, Cocaine and other such drugs give an up lift in ones spirits, desire and of course socially, could one potentially do better in school hours whilst on drugs? I mean, we hear stories about the business men on Wall Street and how Cocaine use is rife in certain places, but is it deterring them their work or is it really adding something?

To many days have I gone into work feeling tired, unmotivated and really not wanting to speak to anyone. Whilst on a good day, it'll be the complete contrast in attitude. Is it possible for a drug to install these attitudes permantly, if so, what drugs do you think fit the bill?

By the way, this isn't for my own benefit. I'm not eager to find a fix my tiredness and lack of motivation as I understand a lot of people have to deal with things like it is. I'd just like to see others experiences on whether or not their attitudes in the work place has changed a result of illegal or legal drugs.

Caffeine if you want to be socially accepted and increase productivity.

Amphetamines if udgaf.

Beta blockers or low dose benzodiazepines for anxiety if that is the issue. Phenibut and other lesser known GABAergics exist too.

Alcohol on lunch break if you live in a country where people do that.

As with any substance, tolerance will build and eventually make constant use impossible. The best option is to avoid reliance on drugs, and to know the doses that will keep you functional and not found out (if illicit).

There is also a large "drugs in the workplace" thread in this forum if you want to read about how others do their thing.

It really depends on the substance, the dose of said substance and the person for these type of things. A quick example would be marijuana; some people enjoy going to class high and feel that they pay attention better and have more motivation than if they were sober. For me, marijuana is not a drug that I'd want to go to class on as it makes me second guess myself and become paranoid about how I appear to others. It's not hard to tell that this is not a good way to go to class.

That being said, there are drugs that I, personally, definitely enjoy and find beneficial in a classroom setting:

Amphetamines can put me in a mood where I truly enjoy learning and doing schoolwork which is great for subjects you have minimal motivation to learn otherwise.

Opiates put me in a similar mood to Amphetamines when it comes to being in class, but I feel as though this is purely based on the fact that if I'm high on an opiate, there's not too many things I don't mind doing. The euphoria is stronger than amps in most cases, but they don't give me the same desire to accomplish the work I NEED to be doing like amps.

I'm always down for a low dose of benzodiazepines for class, particularly combined with Amphetamines.

I hope I'm getting the point of your thread and remember that you may find your experiences with certain substances vastly different than mine.

The occasional prescribed amphetamine for study purposes in university is good. Beta-blockers or low dose benzos for speeches. I know people who have been in philosophy classes blasted on psychedelics. It depends on the person. Large doses of anything will fuck up your schooling period.

Benzos are great imo when dealing with other people at school/work, ofc therapeutic doses.

Weed and opiates arent good if i want to be productive cuz they make me very lazy and apathetic.

Stims (MPH ime mostly) though can make me any task seem interesting and you actually do it intensely (lol few weeks ago i snorted a line of blow And then took a bath ended up cleaning my body 5 times just cuz i felt like it), so yeah imo wil increase productivity at therapeutic doses.

For a regular job / school, I can't imagine anything except stimulants being useful.
If you have a creative job, however, there would be a few more options.

I use stimulants because my work is intellectually demanding. It took me decades to nail down the drugs most suited for the purpose, which are all moderately potent congeners found in the substituted amphetamine/cathinones class. Proper dosing also required a long time to establish as there is a fine line between enough and too much. I'm not talking OD too much, just that I discovered that dosing to a level that makes one more socially outgoing than their usual nature is not that good a performance booster because you get distracted a lot with shootin' shit with coworkers and other shallow preoccupations that negatively affect the mindset required for superior productivity. If I feel the urge to leave my office door open it means I took too much :)

That said at night I can be the wildest of party animals, t'sall about context.

Well, just look at all the kids who go to school on Ritalin,Vyvanse,or Adderall(not to mention shift workers on these stims). When I was a smack head I found a decent(but not too big)shot of dope would have me kicking ass at work.Energy, focus, and general uplift in mood because I felt great.Obviously it would have been counter-productive to do so much I was nodding but just enough to hit that sweet spot and I could do the work of two people faster, better, and with more enthusiasm. This may not apply to those not partial to opiates just as a dose of stims would make me a jittery, nervous wreck. And my RXd benzos at the prescribed dose are a must for me to function without being in a constant state of anxiety.Ditto with my scripted pain meds if I'm at all interested in walking or being on my feet.Again,at the prescribed dose.As Kilfer said above,it's a context/situational thing.Time and place for everything and all that etc....
